This is going to be reasonably short. The following is taken from my experience as a Rift top 500.
A: It means that you gain no gameplay advantage from being a good player: having a better KD/combat rating/ELO just means that you play matches against people around your skill level. The whole point of the competitive PvP experience is to become a better player so you can do very well against people in pubs.
B: It shafts the lower tier players as well. Often, the tier 1 player is the only decent player on his team and has to carry against a group of solid (Tier 2 if you like) players. This isn't fun for the lower tier players.
C: With the P2P and low tickrate Destiny has, it causes horrible, constant lag. Having a match with 5 redbars and a teleporting greenbar isn't fun.
If I'm better than the average player I should still be able to have fun. How about, in the director, having a 'normal mode' option with CBMM, a 'medium' option with CBMM/SBMM and a 'hard mode' option with strict SBMM. Although 'stomping scrubs' is fun, it doesn't help anyone improve as a player.

6 RepliesA. You don't get 'gameplay advantage' over lower skilled players as a reward for beating lower skilled players. Having a better KD/combat rating/ELO just means that you care way way too much about losing. B. This is exactly proof that SBMM take a backseat already, or these lower tiered players would be insulated from better players. If you're getting lower level players in your team for the purpose of balance, it's due to win ratio management, not skillbased matchmaking. You're blaming something on something that's not at fault here. C. Exactly. With P2P, having matchmaking purely connection-based won't make a difference since you're still relying on single host's connections. If you're a better than average player and you're still not having fun being better than average, then you're focusing too much on things that don't matter, and that's a problem with you, not the game.
Although 'stomping scrubs' is fun, it doesn't help anyone improve as a player.
Despite you saying that that's exactly what makes you' better than average' and that your entire argument for A and B was based around being better than these people, but it doesn't improve anyone as a player?

6 RepliesWhy don't you just play something else? It has terrible tick rate and P2P Just vote with your feet Titanfall Division Battlefield COD Overwatch Why are you here kicking this shit ?

Every time in pvp alla my team have green bar and in the opposite team they are all red Very nice
-
2 RepliesI agree entirely with that last part, Bungie even had those features in HALO! A game they used to make!
-
1 ReplyIm so tired of SBMM, when you see a titan use blink.... you now it's -blam!-ed XD
-
SBMM is AIDS

A) I don't see the problem with playing people around your skill level. B) The teams ELO is averaged for match making. This means one higher ELO player will raise the difficulty for team mates, but a very modest amount, and provides the harder play you said they needed instatement "A". C) CBMM will only help if you ban fireteams, which would be stupid. The reason is that the CBMM is only done against fireteam leaders, not the other fireteam members. If any member other than the leader has a bad connection, CBMM will not weed it out.

1 ReplyFor me SBMM means I play pvp, CBMM means I don't.

Your suggestion further divides the small population we have leading to the same lag problems as now
-
22 RepliesA "The whole point of the competitive PvP experience is to become a better player so you can do very well against people in pubs." That is sick. You want to be good in order to bully others? B It is the best thing for "casual" or at least not "Rift top 500" players. You can have fun in pvp and not frustrated over getting killed every 5th sec form a pro. For those players LAG is not that much of a problem as their skills are not fine-tuned. They most probably do not even recognize a little LAG because of that. Oh yes, and these players make 90% of the community.

3 RepliesSo you just try to be lazy right? Do you really have fun destroy blueberries? at least I don't, I enjoy try hard to EARN victory.
-
2 RepliesI remember bungie saying they added it to reduce lop sided matches but there's always going to be matches like that with SBMM OR CBMM
-
3 RepliesMaybe I'm misunderstanding you but A) "The whole point of competitive PvP experience is to become a better player so you can do very well against people in pubs" If you want to become a better player wouldn't you want to go against people similar in your skill? If you get matched with players much lower skill set than you and you consistently go 35 -5 every match I wouldn't think you are getting better since you aren't challenging yourself. B) "It shafts the lower tier players as well. Often, the tier 1 player is the only decent player on his team and has to carry against a group of solid (Tier 2 if you like) players. This isn't fun for the lower tier players." Do you think CBMM will be better for lower skilled players? Because I am one of those players and I would much prefer going up against people that have the same skill set as me rather than getting matched up with a bunch of sweaty players who kick the $hit out of me every match. At least with SBMM I at least have a chance to break even since the players I'm going against are the same skill as me.

I agree but they should do something about it for trials and iron banner which have level advantages but KD takes priority to level in matchmaking
