Take SBMM outta the game
Im jxroll, and i approve this message. EDIT: LETS BUILD A WALL THAT SEPERATES SBMM AND CONNECTION BASED MATCHMAKING! (optional sbmm) If you like sbmm, see you on the other side.

If connections were consistent I wouldn't mind having SBMM actually. I like having a challenge, playing against really good players. Win or lose I learn & improve.

Edited by Xii Alpha iiXx: 11/13/2016 9:50:12 PMI used to post every reset how horrible SBMM was. I kept getting flamed out by low tier players. It's not about pubstomping. I can still do that by playing with some of bad friends. I do it from time to time. While it makes it harder on them, it's hilarious for me. You can cheese SBMM pretty easily. Destiny is a 30fps P2P system not based on connection and connects people to people from all over the world. No matter how great your Internet may be, being in the United States and playing someone from Spain is going to suck. You both may be green bar but it still takes awhile for your system to communicate to servers to tell their servers to tell their console what just happened. Sbmm is suppose to be about being fair but one person brings down everyone in the game, it isn't fair to anyone. I can literally write a 10 page essay on the many problems that arise from SBMM but I will refrain. It needs to be removed from REGULAR pvp. I actually support it for Iron banner. That's suppose to be a little sweaty, having a shaky system for one week out of the month while another CBMM is still available is completely reasonable. (Because you have a choice, as of right now, you do not.)

1 ReplyBungie, please keep fine-tuning Skilled Based Match-Making where you are attempting to create matches where players are within the same skill range. I rather this effort with decent, to good connection versus lop-sided matches where players are forced to play against players must better than themselves.

On a side note, can I just say the matchmaking for IB has been utterly atrocious? I have lost the vast majority of matches I've played, because people don't understand how to play Control.
