Increase skeleton key drop rate
I farm strikes 24/7 in destiny, put in over 200 hours ever since rise of iron. and i have got 6 skeleton keys. I want the satisfaction of opening the chest and getting good loot but i can barely even be able to open it because of the skeleton key drop rate. bungie pls increase.

People still believe Destiny's loot system is based on rng? How can it be random when everybody have a specific set of loot they're getting over and over again? What is really -blam!-ed up is that they're selling mystery bags for real money and claim them to drop random loot...

First you gotta get them to drop, then open up the chest and hope u get what your looking for, then hope it has decent rolls. Too much rng for me.

4 RepliesComplaining about RNG is still a thing? Legendaries used to turn into rares and motes of light. Forever 30 anyone? You'd be amazed at how much more you enjoy the game if you don't worry about your rewards, but the next minion of darkness your sending to his maker. Or the next chapter in your never ending legacy of being the greatest badass the Galaxy has ever seen. Sure it sucks you only got a handful of keys, but I'm sure at MORE than one point you got exactly what you wanted for the time and effort given. Or given MORE than what you wanted for minimal time and effort given. It's RNG, your legacy and journey isn't.

Increasing the rate in Heroic strikes would be a huge improvement. As long as normal strikes give a better rate than Heroic, there's almost no reason to run heroic strikes.

Its just rng. Just deal with it. I put in over 2000 hours year 1 and didnt get a single ghorn. Believe me i understand ur pain. But dont worry about it

16 RepliesI think they should implement the Siva fragment mechanic from the raid into strikes. Basically, skeleton/key/hoard fragments. You get one fragment after killing a strike boss (two from Omnigul and one from each Psion Flayer since you can't get exotics from them). Once you get ten hoard fragments, you can make a Skeleton Key. This way, you can keep the rng of Skeleton Key drops while also allowing a gradual progression to get another key! Maybe even give Heroic Strike mobs a small chance to drop hoard fragments for people who like to kill em all.

1 ReplyIt has to be an rng issue. I get a key every 3 strikes in heroic and every other strike on normal. I have a couple keys right now that I don't use unless it's a nightfall. Not trying to open the salt mine but I'm not gonna complain about my luck with keys. I haven't gotten a 3oC exotic in 3 weeks but the cryptarky seems to like to turn my blues into exotics. I ain't even mad since I had so many legendaries turn blue back in the day
