Increase skeleton key drop rate
I farm strikes 24/7 in destiny, put in over 200 hours ever since rise of iron. and i have got 6 skeleton keys. I want the satisfaction of opening the chest and getting good loot but i can barely even be able to open it because of the skeleton key drop rate. bungie pls increase.

3 RepliesDo 5 strikes in a row and I bet if you use 3oC each strike, you'll get an Exotic or a Skeleton key if not both . 6 strikes in a row at the most YOU will get an Exotic and Key if using 3oC ... works for me every time

5 RepliesThe drop rate is higher on regular Siva crisis. Just grind that for keys and then play crisis heroic.

2 RepliesPersonally it is fine for me. They drop at the same rate for me as the strike exclusives used to. There were some that dropped more often like Treads upon Stars. But at least now, you can, once you got a key, choose yourself which you want (to have a chance to drop). Moreover they drop above your light, which is another reason why the drop rate is fine. If they make them drop regularly, it will become to easy to level up.

3 RepliesShould get a drop at the end of each strike (some sort of 'currency' like 'dark essence' that drops from bosses) and you can trade 5 in for a key somewhere instead of being RNG.

After farming strikes for 1 hour and 47 minutes and finally getting a skeleton key I then go to the echo chamber and strike and use my god damn fking key only to -blam!-ing get the god damn warlock gauntlets IM -blam!-ING DONE BUNGIE

I'm not complaining. Keys drop at a better rate than boss loot ever did, and now you can choose which boss loot to acquire.

That would be nice but if I'm going to do strikes it won't be for a key. I just can't expect one so won't be disappointed.

I have received around 6 keys or so, but the drop rate seemed reasonable. Last night I played SIVA strikes most of the evening and did not get a single key. Sometimes you are lucky, and sometimes you are not.

RNG is what it is people. You will get lucky at some point. If they increased the drop rate people could get one 3 strikes in a row or soemthing. Its meant to be rare, and its not even rare enough to be considered rare. Its uncommon.

Drop rate is fine. They should be as rare as specific loot drops and, currently, they ARE.

Indeed it needs to be raised, I am on the part of the Thorn Bounty where you have to get a skeleton key and open the chest at the end of the Abomination Heist, I put 2 nights worth of my play time in strikes, got 0 skeleton keys

2 RepliesI think if someone from the fireteam opens the chest, everyone should get loot. Makes sense. i van advise gettingthe kill shot on the boss helps. I ran 3 strikes today and got a key everytime.

I actually done striking due to the fact you get nothing for doing them. I did my three for the marks and got garbage for the time. I did a run over ten to get one key for the thorn quest. I think we should all stop doing the strikes!!!!!! I know it is the only path for a solo player... but crucible is the best way to grind for any good drops. I' m an average crucible player . But have got really good drops usually higher then my rank.

14 RepliesIt sucks when you're farming for grasp of malok and 9/10 keys that you do happen to get are warlock bonds and the last one is a garbage roll. And that's 3 days worth of strikes ...

I've heard the idea of key fragments. After every strike you receive a portion of a key. After about 6 or so you get a key. Simple fix the the problem. Or just put it in the system that you receive one after this set time. I been smashing strikes out everyone I get on. I have probably gotten 5 keys from at least 50+ strikes. The drop rate sucks. Same as 3oC. Drop rates were much higher in ttk. I'm finding it hard to get on and finish a hard raid with the guys I usually play with. Getting to 400 is going to be a long run.
