[PS4] Update 1.29 'Cannot Download' Fix
To fix the 'Cannot Download' problem with Destiny update 1.29 you need 50Gb of free space on your PS4 hard drive to begin installing the update. Tested this myself by removing files until I had over 50Gb of free space and the update began installing immediately.
Either Bungie or Sony needs to fix this. Can't vouch for XB1 but if the same issue occurs the fix is probably the same.

Edit: This fix is for the 'Cannot Download' problem. If you're 'Preparing to download' is stuck at 10% that is not the same issue.

I have almost seventy GB of storage left and it isn't working. It's going to three percent and then stopping immediately and saying cannot download. Should I rebuild the system database? It doesn't wipe the system, it just rebuilds corrupted data.

1 ReplyHad problem with download freezing. Put PS4 in rest mode after download had started, turned back on and download finished in less than 3 mins.

This helped me and is true i was at 47 gb and i would get that eror. I Errased some things and viola it started downloading with no problems.

So, not sure if people are still having issues or not, but if you are getting past the "preparing to download" step with a reset and getting 99+ hour, 33 some odd GB downloads, you will need to get the preparing to download portion back... I finally waited through it, and it does move (very VERY slowly) and when that finished, it showed 4 minutes remaining 303.1 MB for the download... We are glitching ourselves into a 30 GB download that won't go anywhere by trying to skip the prep time.

I have 68GB of free space on my hard drive, it gets to prepping to download 3% then cuts out and tells me I cannot download

That is BS, i have 1,5 TB free, tried all said before. Still won't work. Just because your ps4 i full doesn't mean that is the same problem as the rest are experiencing
