What's the point of deeming weapons "Exotic" anymore Bungie?
Iv'e been wanting to make a post about this for some time but haven't gotten around to it.
It's obvious why armor pieces are exotic and should be for good reason.
Guns such as Suros Regime, Hawkmoon, Hardlight, and a few other primaries right now just don't feel exotic... even Thorn.
Why even bother using a Hawkmoon now when Eyasluna and Palindrome just outperform it in every aspect?Why use an Auto-Rifle when a high RoF pulse rifle is basically that but better, or a Doctrin?
Basically we should just go ahead and remove some guns from the Exotic pool and drop them down to Legendaries or give them Life of the Exotic, because of they've been neutered.
I don't know if it's the nerfherd who should be blamed for this nonsense, or Bungie for caving in and actually nerfing the primaries because someone most likely got outplayed but blamed the primary for being "Too OP".

1 ReplyThe only exotic weapon I use in crucible now is the truth. Everything else just feels like a waste. And whenever I decide to use a machine gun, I usually have no exotic weapon on.

1 ReplyI miss using first curse! I deleted my first curse cuz I'm just sick of rng bullets and losing battles to eyasluna. First curse should stand out ! But of course it doesn't!

I wish they would just get rid of perks like hand loaded and fitted stock. There's not point to them, they're just worse versions of hammer forged and perfect balance.

But Hawkmoon is great! Sure it would be nice if they put back Send It instead of hammer forged but it's actually a great gun. Hawkmoon just takes some getting used to but in the right hands it could take on any hand cannon even the last word to an extent.

Most of you weren't around for when exotics were actually op.. suros regime use to rip you apart from scout distance. Thorn used to 2 tap anyone. Last word was a 3 shot body. They literally broke the game with these weapons. I've never in my time playing this game seen the crucible this balanced. So many new weapons circulating through the kill feed. Not just handcannons or autos or scouts or pulses. But everything. (Minus supremacy because that's a shotty fest) so stop complaining. Git Gud and just play to have fun. 13 RepliesI agree same here. Like I find exotics a waste of a slot. Cant it just be a completely even playing feild? All exotics can be obtained from drops but certain ones are just harder to drop woupd be awesome. Not have to do an entire fuking raid twice. Have to do some stupid fuking monitor bullshit and then have to make sure they r all active and so on. Wtf bungie. I am looking for a new game to play now lol. Can't wait for the new pokemon games cause they will at least be fun and not stressful compared to destiny.... No smashed controllers ever. No yelling ever. Just pure peace and enjoyment and happiness and relaxation. This will never be obtained with destiny ever unless bungie changes their shit. Make everything equal. We all paid the same money so we all deserve the same equality. Same guns same loot same everything. None of this we all have to work together bullshit as people dont like working with others always. It shouldnt have to be like a fuking team sport to enjoy a damn game lol.

1 ReplyI like the game the way it is now. I wish they had pvp mode with no supers or heavy just gun play. There are plenty of good exotics out there. They are good for certain situations. Some I dont use at all. I'm glad pvp is not dominated by thorn it made it boring. Stop using exotics and his use legendary. Or stop complaining about fake weapons anyway it is just a game.

They should let Exotic weapons roll with random parks like Legsndaries, with only the exotic perk the same.

In Year 1 Exotics were Exotic. Exotics were the best in their class and they were damn good. Suros was the best High Impact auto Red Death was the best pulse (before bad juju buff) So on and so forth. Exotics started taking a backseat when Dark Below came out. 4th Horseman was meh Dragon's Breath was garbage Necrochasm wasn't worth the time it took to get The Queenbreakers bow was good Lord of Wolves was 50/50 Dregs Promise doesn't exist. The problem is, the exotics introduced in Vanilla Destiny were so good, that we all have massive standards when comparing them to the new guns. Back then the Hawkmoon was the best Handcannon for range (before changes to range and such) Now, simple Vender handcannons outshine this thing. Even the First Curse, a gun built on getting maxed range, is still crap due to the stupid Bloom and Range RNG when it comes to shooting. Most exotics in The Taken King are outclassed by their legendary counterparts. TL:DR Most players in Y1 have ideas on how exotics should be becauae of how good they were. So unless these new exotics do something better, they wont feel as exotic. Especially now, since most exotics in game now have Legendary counterparts that are just as good, if not better. But with all these patches and nerfs.. every weapon keeps getting screwed over.

Still waiting for some titan shoulders that grant shoulder charge to any titan subclass at the expense of a melee charge, or a perk on the Armamentarium that distributes additional ammo to members of your fireteam upon using an ammo synth.

1 ReplyThey are exotics because they have unique perks no other weapons/armor have. The perks are very situational to encourage different load outs/builds.

I agree. Exotics have felt anythinf but since year 1. I prefer the grasp to any exotic pulae, the hero formula to any scout and my devil you know to any exotic handcannon. The only exotics I may use are Plan C and Gally. But my 77 Wizard or the Waiting can fill in for Plan C and I can always decimate with my BoneKrusher HMG. Its sad that balance corroborates with nerfxotics

For me the exoitic part of the weapon is the perks. Hawkmoon has 3 extra damage bullets. No other gun has that. Hard light has bullets that have no drop off and hit every wall they come in contact with. Thorn only gun with a DoT etc. Now I do think they messed with the guns a little to much and need a buff. I loved Hawkmoon in y1 miss that gun so much. But at the same time I should not be able to snipe a sniper with it across the map and the same with thorn. No hand cannon should do that but they should hit at a better range they do now.

Exotic means Unique, not OP. Just because it's exotic, does not by any means make it better than a legendary...at least for weapons.

11 RepliesI disagree. You only can shoot one gun at a time. And most of you just follow the current meta or what some streamer is doing. That's why things get nerfed, you dummies just do what the next person does instead of being your own gamer.
