Well ladies and gentlemen, it's been over a month since No Man's Lie has been released, and Sean Murray is nowhere to be found and Hello Games has been almost completely silent about the lies us gamers were promised to be able to do in the game.
In a recent statistic it was revealed what percentage of players have stopped playing this game, and I'm honestly not even surprised at all. You ready? A whooping total of 94% of the player base has stopped playing the game.
If you're too lazy to watch the video in the link I'll sum it up for you. Basically at its height NMS had about 212k players per hour playing it on Steam, fast forward to today and the max number of players per hour on Steam barely hits 2,000.
It's a sad lesson for some of us gamers who gave into the hype train, but hopefully now we'll know how not to overhype a game.
hopefully now we'll know how not to overhype a game.
I doubt it. People tend to not learn until they get burned. Even then some people don't get it. It's either naiveté or just plain ignorance. By rights, ignorance should suffer because it can detract from positive change in an industry.
