This topic will discuss how to solidly prep for this DLC. Personally I'm going try hard- First we'll discuss what materials- (Planetary) It's impossible to know what type factions or amor will require these. To easily solve this, use your legendary marks you obtain and buy one of each material at the Vanguard quartermaster. Or gamble it and buy all of one. [i][b]10 marks=20 of the choice of materials[/b][/i] (40 marks-10-Spinmetal-10 helium filaments-10 Spirit bloom-10 Relic) Store these in your vault. (1,250=1 faction rank) (Weapon parts) To obtain these you can either buy from the Gunsmith or simply dismantle These can be used to powerboost your faction as well as armor materials. [b][i]250 glimmer for 5[/i][/b] (1,250=1 faction rank) (Motes of light) These can be obtained by multiple different ways- -Strikes -POE (this is the best, play level 28 POE and you get 5-7 of both coins and motes per completion- I gained 350 this week) -4 from each faction package -engrams -5 per 12,000-15,000 XP -and public events (5 for your first daily) (125=1 faction rank) (Exotic engrams) Since the DLC is acting like the April update and is in fact not year 3, there is more of a chance than not these will decrypt to new. This will also give you lots of rep and materials. Save them if you can or want to. (Legendary engrams) Save as many as you can, strikes are the best way to earn these. This will be your source for both new Legendaries and legendary marks- 1 engram means 3 marks. (Glimmer) Save glimmer consumables (125=25,000 glimmer) (Glimmer) Make sure your inventory is maxed (25,000) before launch. (Marks) Save trials mark bounties as well as the iron banner make bounties. And make sure your have 200. (Heavy synthesis) Make sure you buy these! These are key to power leveling factions. You can get these from xur for 1 strange coin for 3 heavy synths (34 coins for 100 synths) or at the tower gunsmith-950 glimmer for 1 or at Veriks (1 for 1 ether seed and 250 glimmer) 100 synthesis=1 faction rank. Now we'll discuss bounties- (Trials) Save the 2 Trials 25 mark bounties as well as the Gold and silver tier (Per character if you have them) As well as the 3 Iron banner 25 mark bounties (if rank 5 isn't that important to you) (Crucible) Save the 5 Lord shaxx weekly bounties (the ones used to complete the 6th one that gives you the "Unknown reward") and don't grab the "unknown reward" bounty till Rise of Iron is released. This will give you an instant nightfall tier reward-save on both characters if you can. (Vanguard) Save 2-3 of these to put your vanguard faction to the next after edging- Relating to bounties, make sure all your factions -Crucible, vanguard, allied faction, Eris, etc- are edged (almost to completion... That's what you'll use bounties to go to the next rank) As well don't forget to save strange coins, 3 of coin, and Sterling treasures.
