LOL how bad did BUNGiE mess up that universal remote is the meta!

Because it was always seen as being shit so it was mostly ignored during nerf trains. It still is pretty easy to beat

Babies gotta cry and when all the good primaries get nerfed to the ground " the junker " as it is described rises to the top. I find it funny all these babies crying about thorn, the last word, hawkmoon and anything that's good and now, now there left eating universal remote after universal remote I think the babies have got what they deserve. Bungie stop nerfing start buffing!!! Or the junk yard dogs going to keep biting.

2 RepliesIts not necessarily Bungies fault tho. You have to understand that serious pvpers are like water; always finding the path with the least resistance. For these individuals, whatever weapon/ability that can be utilized to get that easy kill or that win, players will gravitate towards it. Welcome to the world if the One-Shot Meta. So that is why you see those players using popular weapons like snipers, universal remote and other shotties, fusions, grenades that you can throw and walk away from netting kills, and abilities like Shoulder Charge. Many of these weapons/abilities have been here since day one. The problem is that players take this game WAY too seriously. Those kills and that win means the WHOLE world to them. Maintaining a high kdr is now a higher priority than actually having fun and meeting new friends. And I can kinda see why they feel this way. Its the passion we have for this game. We like it; that's why we continue to play and why we jump on this very forum. Destiny is a pretty slick shooter. Its just that, though competition amongst ourselves can be fun and can help us reach higher potentials, it can also bring out a lot of the ugliness inside us. But above all, guardian, keep your head up, give it another go, and try to have fun; its only a game.

Well, when the meta was people actually using primaries people complained. Then it switched to shotguns, then it switched to snipers, and now it's back to shotguns. No matter what Bungie does people complain. People don't comprehend that every time a nerf happens something else gets buffed automatically. People also don't comprehend that nerfs won't make them better, they will still die a lot no matter the meta. The better players adapt and are good with many loadouts. Bottom-line people need to stop wasting their time complaining. If you're good, you're good. If you're bad, you're bad. That's the way it is.

10 RepliesI personally think that the nerf to special ammo is what has caused this. Why wait for secondary ammo, when you can equip a shotgun as your primary, and start with ammo? The same for NLB. Granted, it doesn't have a scope, but why wait for sniper ammo, when you can start with it? It seems that there has also been a rise in Defender titans. Again, you start with a full shotgun, use NBP, and have grenades that can suppress supers. So, you start out with full shotgun ammo, get an overshield, and can wipe out a super every 30-45 seconds (depending on your cooldown setup). For anyone who thinks I'm complaining... I'm not. I'm just answering OPs question. I don't think anything needs to be nerfed. I for one, think that everything should be changed back to what it originally was.

They messed up with the whole auto rifle destruction of vanilla, and it has steadily grown worse.

1 ReplySimple, people wanted to be able to use a shotgun as if it were a primary weapon like in year 1 crucible. Special ammo has been nerfed, but people will always find a way to abuse the system. Like when special ammo started getting nerfed a while ago (in trials I think u started out with no special) and people decided to try out NLB in order to still snipe.
