It's a neat offer to celebrate Destiny's 2nd year and Bungie's 25th anniversary for giving to charity and for playing their games content. Your Moments of Triumph rewards are the 2 shaders and 2 emblems from the book, the shirt offer is optional.
I'm not sure if you guys understand what The Bungie Foundation does, but let me help enlighten you.
*prepares overused typical Destiny poster spoiler*
-They donated over 1,000,000$ that was raised through sales of the 'Pride of Nepal' shirt/shader sale to the Direct Relief fund.
-They granted over 30 Make a Wish wishes for ill children in 2015 alone, and they've been granting wishes since 2001. Ranging from room remodeling, top of the line spec gaming pc's, studio tours, and even a home DJ studio.
-The Bungie Foundation also has programs in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital in where they provide iPads to the entire inpatient unit and the child specialists, providing iPad's to the Autism Center to help these children play games and connect with others, and upcoming programs oriented towards career and workforce preparation. (They are also partnered with 9 other organizations as well)
-All profits from purchases made in the Bungie Store in 2016, will benefit The Bungie Foundation to continue their efforts in helping children who are suffering by providing entertainment.
Now I've read quite a few posts with people saying some really nasty and snarky remarks about how it's a 'marketing ploy' to get your money because Bungie's greedy, blah blah, but I'm not going to point any fingers or call out names.
Instead, I hope the few of you who posted those comments read this, and really reflect on yourself and your character. This shirt isn't just a cash grab, its proceeds go to an awesome cause. It's a reward for those who have vested their time in Bungie's game who are willing to give their 30$ to these children who are unfortunate enough to suffer from terminal illnesses and handicaps. The best part is, is any profit from any purchase on the Bungie store on ANY item is going to The Bungie Foundation. But.. too many of you are too quick to jump to conclusions without researching the topic.
So before you go rushing around and spreading negativity, put a little thought into it. The world would be a much better place if we gave a little more to each other unconditionally. Consider this more of an incentive for a good cause. I hope some of you buy some Bungie loot, even if its only the 15$ pins. If they had a link open for a flat out donation, I'd still give.
I'll wear my Moments of Triumph shirt with pride knowing that my money went to a good cause, I may even buy more of the items I've been eyeballing knowing that the proceeds will be used in this manner.
Hope this clears some of these perceptions up. Who else will be acquiring the Triumph shirt or some Bungie merch to benefit The Bungie Foundation's cause?

2 RepliesI wonder if Activision or it's investors support the Bungie foundation?
-
2 RepliesBought a Suros shirt, a Dead Sun Hunter shirt, and the MoT shirt. Really wish they had more Dead Orbit shirts in my size so that I could buy one. Every shirt I want seems to be sold out of XL and 2XL sizes.
-
2 RepliesI was gonna buy the shirt once I decided to get off my ass and get those last few calcified fragments, but I was unaware that this was a charity. So I actually might get off my ass to get those last few
-
1 ReplyA good post. I think it's important to highlight that the t-shirt purchase is optional and you are actually getting 2 emblems and 2 shaders instead of 1 this year, in addition to the shirt offer. I think it's a rather nice way to promote their charitable efforts that really do have a real world impact and it has zero impact on the game itself if you chose not to participate. The fact that all 2016 store proceeds will go to the foundation is a really awesome thing and hopefully encourages those who have the means to pick up a few additional items, knowing that it will go towards causes that help those in need.

6 RepliesI found the price funny, but because of all the discount code business, I ended up ordering the wrong size! I also got charged $5 more than you were supposed to (in ADDITION to the $5 added for personalisation). I just hope that they respond to my amendment request before I end up with a shirt I can't wear! I made a few posts to people who couldn't work out what to do, or what the joke was. It wasn't difficult, but you can't expect everyone to know.

2 RepliesI went n ordered the shirt but somethings gone wrong n I never got a confirmation email or the emblem code so no idea if I'll get it now :(
-
2 RepliesI just wanna know how to get my code
-
This one gets it
-
1 ReplyI bought the shirt within 15 minutes of completing MoT yesterday :D
-
1 ReplyI got it last night ( as soon as I figured out how to out in that stupid code. It's on the checkout page in case you were wondering). But I realized I don't own any destiny paraphernalia, and since this is going to help charity I figured this would be the perfect opportunity :-). Also who the hell wouldn't want their gamer tag on a sweet exclusive bungie shirt???
also that ghost necklace looks dope! To bad it's so expensive and sold out :-(
1 ReplyI spent 50 bucks on shirts for me and my gf just to help out. I would have just donated as well.
-
Children's hospitals.......DONE!
-
This is the only reason I bought the MoT shirt
-
3 RepliesI would buy something except the shipping price to the UK is abysmal.
-
I haven't played destiny in a couple months, but I did order the shirt, their foundation is great
-
I ordered mine with my gamer tag on it. Pleased to support any charity really
-
I bought the shirt as soon the MoT came out. Might wanna wear a jacket while wearing it since i bought the small size.
-
its a great gift. ima beat MoT this weekend (hopefully) then im going to have one made for my wife whos a great player and wife. i think she will love it as shes always wearing a comfy lrg shirt she steals form my drawer when she plays. now she will have her own.
-
I knew some of those things, but not all. That's really impressive and really awesome too. I have six things in my cart right now (one is the partners) and am on the fence about the shirt. But knowing that all the profits go to a good cause is kind of sweetening the deal. Of course, I would have to place two separate orders because I don't want to wait three weeks for the MoT shirt to come in.
-
Nice post...I haven't taken part in one of their charity things in a while, but I still have my "Fight the Flood" shirt from hurricane Katrina. I need to get my (PvE) shit together and finish out my year2 MoT to see about getting a new shirt.
-
Bought the shirt and the pins. The Bungie Foundation has done a lot of good over the years and I try to donate when I get the chance.
-
Well said my fellow guardian I also purchased my t shirt as soon as the site was back up and running and as far as the nasty comments that is a sad part of this community . We have a lot of childish people in it that spit out stupid nasty and degrading comments before they think ! Like mom used to say" if you have nothing nice to say , keep your mouth shut"
-
1 ReplyWas already going to order the shirt. Didn't know they help grant wishes with the make-a-wish foundation. I do the make-a-wish charity walk yearly in my hometown. Just another way I can help kids get their wish. =)
-
I bought one. Anyone who has a problem with it can start paying all my bills and tell me what to do with my money. Until then go -blam!- yourself.
-
1 ReplyAllow me to help keep this trending.. There are way too many on this forum that don't have a clue on what The Bungie Foundation does or what they are about. Remember the 'back-lash' when Bungie started taking subscriptions to their Twitch channel that benefited the Foundation? What a shining example of how toxic this community can be at times.. If people would only take a few minutes to visit the Foundation's web site before they rage over the money going to a worthy cause.. As for making a purchase - yep. Just haven't decided on what yet.. :-)

5 RepliesQuit complaint about donating to charity you know they are other people suffering from disease right know and other people who work in third world countries for a quarter a day you are complaining about donating to them because you think they will lie about donating money k loon that's not true because 1 bungie couldn't get away with pretending to. donate to charity and in the past they have done multiple make wish foundations and have been granting wishes which include in home dj studios and multiple iPads and game consoles for sick children and you don't even care if you really care sell all your stuff and go donate it for crying out loud.
but you won't sell your stuff cause you don't care
