SBMM is the aids of Destiny.
We are tired of lag.
We are tired of red bar gods.
We are tired of every game being a sweat fest.
We are tired of being shot around corners.
Stop manipulating the system. Stop protecting noobs. Stop lying.
Just stop. We are all sick to death of you dragging your feet while we suffer.
Everyone. Up vote this thread to show bungie what the community really wants! NO SBMM!
Just look at this embarrassing level of trash we have to deal with https://youtu.be/L3AOUBZ7o8k
Keep this bumped, friends.

Why not just add matchmaking preferences.... The only 2 options would be skill based and connection based matchmaking. Problem solved.
-
2 RepliesI'll leave this here like I do on every SBMM post. Easy solution, just like other successful games... Ranked play = SBMM (add ranking system) Unranked = CBMM Custom Games (no stat tracking) Need am example game? Counter-Strike, League of Legends...Halo...

8 RepliesWho is we? On behalf of what wanky Youtuber are you posting this?

3 RepliesButthurt, youve been summoned!

8 RepliesIt's AIDS, not aids moron. And comparing a setting on a game to a disease that kills people, including people I know, is ridiculous. Quit spamming this nonsense.

4 RepliesAll I read here is I can't pub stomp. Life's unfair
-
4 RepliesI actually haven't experienced this lag that you guys say is "AIDS", these forums make it seem like crucible is unplayable and you face cheaters and ddosers every single game. I only rumble and skirmish so what do i know.

A quick look are your stats: http://destinytracker.com/destiny/crucible/ps/Rappo000 You are one of the top players in the world and based upon your recent games, you have no problems winning games. Took 12 rift games for me over the last 2 days to get one bloody win, as I ran into folks like you and I'm glad your on the PlayStation. As an elite, I'm sure it frustrating for you to play in some laggy games. At the end of the video, your connection was in the yellow and the person that killed you was a solid green, however I don't give a lot of weight to those indicators and only a network trace from both ends would tell me. Bungie has millions of players and sadly you are on the outside of the bell curve solely based on your skills. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bell_Curve) For the record, I wish I had skills like yours :-) ...I used to 20 years ago..I'm just an old goat now passed his prime, but still enjoys trying to play the game. All games are sweats to me and with your skill, I don't have a lot empathy. Bungie is trying to work on pleasing the general masses or just the majority of the people, in which you fall out of. As there a millions like me, but just a very small amount of folks like you. I guess it's the price of being great at something. I'm slightly below an average player, based on destinytracker and even I run into the red bar folks in about ever 3rd to 6th match, so I can deal with it. Had a game with 3 red bars on the other team and they would not die, so I do understand some of your frustration. Simple solution, I wish Bungie would allow an option in the settings to prefer CBMM or SBMM, I would select SBMM so I would not have to play against you. Also, I'm in the US, so I do have a large user base of players to play with at my skill level. Tips from a network engineer. (What I do for a living) Bandwidth is not really an issue at all for this game of Destiny, except during patching for the downloads. You need consistent ping (network traffic) times and no packet loss. For Xbox players, just run the detail network check for about 3 - 5 times a day for about 2 weeks, then check your latency (lower the better) and packet loss. Note: This will only give a little what your connection may be like, it's not comparing or testing against other players. If it's all over the place, then the issue is on your end, either your router or ISP has the issue. Network consistency and zero packet loss is key for a peer to peer gaming mode and the tiny bit of information sent back to Bungie servers during the game play. The problem is, not every one has a good connection, some folks have great download consistency and crappy upload or vice versa. Recommendation, read reviews on home network routers for gamers, then buy it and never, never, never use a wireless router for gaming, just too much crap can impact the network consistency, as the ping times are all over the place on average with wireless. Even though my wireless router is 8 feet away from my Xbox, I still ran a network cable. PS: Dedicated servers would be great and probably resolve a lot of the issues/concerns, however based on the player base size, it would have a significant cost increase to Bungie and would probably require a monthly fee for crucible.

You're an idiot if you honestly think that SBMM is to blame. Quit whining about not being able to go 20 - 1 every match.

2 RepliesThe guy is not even a red bar in the video... so wtf is this post about? Uuuh let me guess... another one who think is a pro gamer and games are made for people like him so software houses owes him something... Yeah yeah so new...
