Stop trying to force PS3 users to upgrade to ps4
I'm a #PS3 user and I don't like the idea of your company trying to make users move a step up cause of an content update. Also you all at #bungie, have really thought as in the people that bought the game cause or don't want to upgrade to a #ps4 as yet, but love the idea of they could have still been in on the future story roles of your content releases or updates. As in like this for an explanation: my friend only when and bought a copy of your game on Friday for PS3 cause he does play it on my system, he spend his money to support you all at bungie in a big, but small way as well. Took his time to save his money to play the game roles of #IronBanner or #TrailsOfOsiris... I'm truly disappointed in this move and I know their others that feel like me about how you call us legacy users, but know that we don't feel honor that we can't be part of the #RiseOfIron release and future content... My PSN ADD is :ChaoStorMz and I'm looking to hear from the makers of bungie... For the fellow legacy users that wants the RoI content and to stop this August content of us not get IB/ToS anymore....

Nobody's forcing you to do anything it's a choice you will have to make I'm afraid.buy it or don't.and as for your friend getting the game really you should of told him before hand this was happening.and if he already knew then that's a bit silly.he should of saved the money and both if you's club together and buy ps4.if you's both play the same console it should be easier for you's to get one more than most.

Last gen players who want Destiny to still be on their consoles really are selfish. PS3 and 360 are holding back Destiny's potential but you guys dont care. 90% of the community are on current gen and we want to see Destiny in its true potential. Instead we have the 10% who wont upgrade and are frankly extremely naive players who rather say nah screw everyone else keep downgrading Destiny so it work on my worthless shitty last gen. As for the Naive part its been 2.5 years. How long did u think companies would support last gen? The fact that its been 2.5 years is pretty incredible. Same thing happened with PS2 and PS3. Screw last gen and leave them behind. Either upgrade and face reality that last gen is about to be dead or stay on last gen and play ps3/360 only games and stop trying ruin current gens.

It was said when the game released that this would eventually happen. Why would your friend buy the game a week ago for PS3 knowing it is going to be a waste of money. That's his stupidity not bungies.

This is in no way forcing people to do anything, if you interpreted it as that well then that'd be your fault. Bungie decided to drop legacy consoles most likely because; 1. They're a decade old, so outdated hardware. 2. Legacy consoles were holding back content for players on current gen cause of the limitations. If you can't afford to get a current gen, go find some odd jobs for cash (unless you already have a job). I agree with the drop of legacy due to the fact that those console's time have come and gone so it's time to move on. Yeah it sucks to those who can't upgrade, but it isn't something you can't ever do. Save up money, ask for it as a birthday gift or something. Blame Bungie all you want for this, ultimately it was a choice that was gonna happen sooner or later anyways.

No one is forcing you to do anything. If you don't want to upgrade then don't, you just won't be able to play the newer content in a few months.

You're not being forced to update. Long story short, there are restrictions that legacy consoles give developers which don't allow them to produce content of the highest quality anymore. They've said that to get the new content on to legacy consoles, they would have had to cut a lot of it because the legacy consoles just can't handle the processing power that it'll take to run the game anymore. They've already had issues increasing vault space because of legacy consoles capacity, as well as some emotes. On top of that, only 10% of destiny players are on legacy consoles now, so it's far from a majority of players being left. It literally is nothing against leaving legacy console players behind, but in order to grow the game, Bungie needed to make this new content current gen only.

It's last generation. It's the same reason new CoD games aren't coming to ps2 or GameCube. There's no financial reason to put time into making last gen dlc or games when so many have the new gen. There's nothing anyone can do and its best to accept that.

Its time to move up bro. Odds are this is a test to see what more they can do with the game. This move will allow them to push the boundaries of what they've been able to do with the game. This gives them time before destiny 2, to see what they can do.
