Alright, for those of you who have seen the top post about ddproductions and him trying to brick consoles (which is taking out of context because there's no proof he was actually going to do that to anyone) and think that the PC community is just being babies... You need to read this. It's not always a situation of black and white. In fact it rarely is. There is a reason for his distress and anger and while ill placed this will give you a better understanding of why this whole thing is turning into a crap storm between PC and console players.
TL;DR
Just read it!

Did you even see his video that he made? Thats firm evidence to prove that he is out to get console players, for whatever reason. -
He's taking it out in the wrong people. That's all I can say. He's a baby for acting the way he is towards console users. Who for the most part are in the minority for stealing the mods. PC have had mods longer and have been able to steal mods for a long time. It could very well be PC people stealing mods and trying to get all the fame for it. Regardless of that he need to take it up with Bethesda and quit being a whiny child.

Why does he care? He gets his mod to be on twice as many websites and twice as many people. If he cares if he gets credit, then thats just dumb, because the point of a mod is the actual content that comes with it. -
Okay. I read the post but there's still stuff I'm not sure on. Do mod creators on the nexus make money from selling their mods? Do they make money from donation pages like patreon? Do they just do it for the love of the game? Because if it's any situation other than the first one I don't see the problem. Sure it sucks to have your stuff stolen but I doubt 99% of console mod users even check who the author of the mod is. We just look at the pretty pictures go "oooooooo" and download instantly. Almost none of us would care to support you financially like PC users would do, because at least they know who you are.

1 ReplyI make all the mods. All of them. Every single one. You're welcome. :)

3 RepliesBefore I weight in on this I want make it ABUNDANTLY clear that I do not condone mod theft in any way shape or form. That being said, while I understand the modder's frustration, and believe he has every right to be angry, in no way do I condone his actions in the least. Instead of dealing with the situation in a mature, adult fashion, he's throwing a temper tantrum.

The guy is a giant tool. His mods are nice but his attitude towards console gamers makes me not want to download them.

8 RepliesEdited by Facty: 6/18/2016 8:11:26 AMI think that most of this was blown out of proportion, he has a valid reason to be mad, but the way he's executing his anger is arrogant. He can't get in any legal issues, but he'd lose a wealthy amount of respect and support. He should take legal action rather than do what a flamboyant little toddler would do if someone took all their Pokemon cards. What I'm trying to say is that he has a right to his anger, but he shouldn't be angry at every single console user. DDP is a good modder, but he really shouldn't be acting like this. He should be mad, but e should also be mature.

1 ReplyEdited by DarkMythos: 6/18/2016 3:15:43 AMThis isn't just happening to him. Many Nexus legends have stopped making mods because people stole them and uploaded them to Bethesda.net without any kind of credit to the creator. They have a right to be pissed off

9 RepliesIt's not the PC community being babies, it's this one douche. Someone stole his mod? Oh well, there is nothing he can do about it so he is just being a piece of shit going after console players
-
35 RepliesWhat mod was even stolen? I haven't seen anything about the mod?

1 ReplyI'm giving it a few months before things look up. In the end...just getting mods and enjoying my game. Avoiding the weird and suspicious ones.
