The gun didn't end up being an AR-15 it was a Sig Sauer MCX. Still semi-automatc though so that does apply. The shooter worked for a British security company that was commonly contracted by the US government. Sources say it was possible that he could have access to high grade military equipment.

He worked for g4s in a community right down the road from me. He purchased his guns legally from the shooting range I shoot at frequently. I know the guy who sold him the guns. From what I've heard, he used weapons easily obtainable by civilians.

Yep, that's what it sounds like. Some misinformed people had said he fired over 1,000 rounds. But I think this is just the wild exaggeration that comes with events like this. So do you live in Orlando then?

Port St Lucie. The shooter worked not far from my house. He lived in ft pierce tho which is like the next town over. I drive past his parents house every day tho and there's been FBI and news stations there all week.
