What is the worst genre of music?
I personally hate both Country and Rap, and think they are trash, but what do you guys think?

I am not a huge fan of dixieland or bluegrass. Though I will admit that there have been times when listening to it, I have been able to tap my feet and even recognize that someone playing has exceptional skill.

In fact a lot of people [u]LOVE[/u] Rap. There will always be a person who likes the genre so there is no "worst" genre But to answer your question I don't like most Metal ( i only like the ones without lyrics just drums and guitar is what i like, with guitar being louder more.) Rap, New country, and most modern music in general. My favorite are: music from Video Games, Old Rebel Country, and Softcore Fastmoving dubstep.

I think any genre [i]can[/i] be good. Genres that I generally don't enjoy are dubstep, EDM, and rap. Although I have heard good ones from all three of those genres, they are fewer and farther between in my eyes. I have also heard bad things from genres that I do enjoy.

To me, any music that's not pleasant to listen to. This includes most rap and overly aggressive metal (no screaming or growling please). It also includes any song that requires copious amounts of auto tune. If I want to listen to a robot I'll let you know, Drake.

I don't like rap and I don't like screaming rock. Funny part is I like my rock really heavy but once there is screaming, I'm out. (There is one dying that has one line of screaming that I absolutely love and it's only because the rest of the song is so good. Liar, Liar (Wasteland Monarchy) by Kamelot. Their last album Haven was perfect minus one song.) Five Finger Death Punch did a fantastic cover of Bad Company. One of the best songs ever yet I cannot listen to anything else they do because there is so much screaming.

I wouldn't say any genre is the "worst" however some are just so simple and cater to simple minded people Like a lot of modern country is the same exact 3 chords and is always about booze or trucks ect, and isn't even country. Just pop with a southern accent.. Modern rap has no effort put into it whatsoever Most "Metal"core/screamo bands play the exact same 3 chords and it's listeners are probably the most tone deaf. Every song has the same generic breakdown. i don't understand why it's so popular Emo pop is probably the most annoying IMO. The vocals are all the same. distorted bass is way overused
