You know, technically the oxygen you breathe when you respirate isn't even turned into carbon dioxide. The oxygen is turned into water and exhaled as water vapor. The carbon dioxide you breathe out is the product of the Krebs cycle going on in your cells that produces energy.

The Krebs cycle is part of respiration. In the beginning you put in oxygen and after gycolysis, the Krebs cycle and the electronic transfer chain you get out CO2 (among other things) So CO2 is a product if respiration however it technically doesn't come from oxygen

And the hydrogen from the glucose/ broken down to pyruvate/ actylcholine replenishes NADPH in the cycle?
