I'll pick Witcher 3 dlc. The dlc is awesome.

1 ReplyPeople underestimate the characters you meet along the way in dark souls, since technically you only have to talk with a handful of people. You can really craft your own experience in dark souls. There are tons of builds, and you can either dive into the story or stick with the action. I enjoy the NPCs/characters in dark souls more than The Witcher 3, not by far but by a fair amount. The Witcher's dialogue is great but Dark Souls delivers memorable lines, acting, and stories in a much shorter time span. Massive scale does not automatically mean better. I've played both, and I find that the Witcher does a good job of immersing some people but if that aspect of it doesn't click you won't enjoy it. If you don't care for Dark Souls immersion the game itself is still incredibly fun, challenging, and fair to play. I just couldn't get immersed in The Witcher, it was lots of roaming around, listening to the wind 24/7. It had more fluff than people lead on. Maybe some day I'll make it to whatever the climax of the Witcher 3 is and maybe I'll love it, but the game was just moving soooo slow (and I made it very far, to almost every area). Still Witcher is cheap after being out for so long so you could probably play that then play dark souls when it is reduced price.

7 RepliesThe only reason ds3 is winning because it's newer.
you honestly can't go wrong with either
22 RepliesEdited by Flailing_Weasel: 5/17/2016 6:02:20 PMDark Souls has a much richer story and setting than people give it credit for. A lot of the narrative is given via gameplay which is something not many games do. Take hollowing, for example. Every death drives your player character closer to hollowing. Death is traumatic to them. As it is to you. Every death drives you closer to giving up, or hollowing. The difficulty isn't there to just make it hard for the sake of it. It's important to your story. Also, it's not that bad once you get used to it. The Witcher is fantastic as well, but didn't suck me in nearly as much.

1 ReplyDs3 is better in every way and yes I have played both but I like ds3 more

Edited by chimpy5545: 5/18/2016 1:12:29 PMThere is a sale for witcher 3 and the gold edition one also on the ps4

4 RepliesEdited by Charlemagne: 5/17/2016 6:08:57 PMDark Souls 3 might be great, but it's much shorter as far as I'm aware. There's a huge amount of stuff to do in TW3. Take that into consideration. It's also my favourite game. Edit: Wait, were you asking in general or which to buy?

2 RepliesEdited by Warlock: 5/18/2016 12:14:15 PMBoth are great games. You can't go wrong with either, really
\[T]/

Try tongue but whole
The only choice is both.

Both are 10/10

2 RepliesTwo different games. Apples and Oranges.

9 RepliesStory: Witcher, no contest Graphics: Witcher, no contest Gameplay: Tie, note Witcher is less linear and contains subgames like gwent and horse racing. Combat: Darksouls Replayability: Tie Longevity: Witcher

Both you casual pleb.

Edited by Vgnut: 5/18/2016 5:25:18 AMThe Witcher 3 is a legendary title that is going to influence the entire industry. That game is the bar for for an entire genre. Dark Souls III can't be described in the same way. Dark Souls could though.

6 RepliesWitcher 3 is hands down the best game of this generation. It is quite possibly one of the best games ever made. It sits in rarified air and the journey that the story takes you on is unparalleled. DS3 is good but it's not what I described above
-
Edited by Amok: 5/17/2016 11:00:27 PMI'm sure the Witcher 3 is awesome but it's casul ass gameplay/ combat system makes it less enjoyable for me at least
-
Both great games. Just buy the Witcher since it's probably cheap now. By the time your done with it dank souls may be at a reduced price.
-
They're both gaming crack

43 RepliesWitcher 3 has an amazing story with awesome characters, great narrative, hundreds of hours of play time, soundtrack, graphics, the biggest dynamic open world on consoles to date probably, awesome combat, etc. Dark Souls is a combat/boss fight simulator with that barbaric checkpoint system that makes you go through the same areas and fight the same enemies over and over and over again with VERY little story and nonexistent narrative and no real or fleshed out characters Not much competition there

Edited by Chunkym12: 5/17/2016 8:47:07 PMTough choice I love both, however I would say Witcher
but if you can pick up dark souls 1/2
-
As far as I see it Witcher looks amazing. I don't doubt it is but I think it's for those people who like a story driven kinda RPG. I see Dark Souls as the kind of RPG that requires you to include yourself to a certain extent and thats what I love about it, kinda make you own story as you go kinda deal.
-
Played bloodborne and dark souls 1 and 3 And i can say no -blam!-ING way ds3 can be better than the witcher 3
-
15 RepliesFor me it's witcher 3 by a landslide. I've always liked games with stories. Games with none never hooked me in
-
Ooooh that's a tough one. Overall, The Witcher. DS3 was far too short and didn't have the level of immersion that The Witcher had.
