Thanks for reading.
The third move? I would change the melee animation to the Warlock fist clench used during blink to detonate solar grenades early. I shouldn't need it to hit the ground to be useful to me lol. Without a thrown grenade active the melee would just do scorch as normal or if the Sunsinger is within their melee "lock on" range of a target.
I think that's affordable to animate from the assets used already for Destiny and would be useful in the right hands.
No. Firebolt even without the DoT can be timed very precisely to explode at the moment someone lands from a jump or closes distance in pvp. Adding this effect to it while it benefits from two DoT perks would be gilding the lily.
Something similar can be said for fusion grenades which have a curve to the trajectory if they're thrown a little off course. They stick targets and in a pinch they can be tossed behind cover with DoT to spook a target from cover if one is already wearing Starfire Protocol.
Solar grenades have a particular use and I think thw early detonation can help with that a little more.
Or...
With the same animation, a move that sacrifices a quarter of super meter and melee charge to boost recovery within.
The input would require that the melee button be held so as to not activate when trying to perform a scorch melee with a light press.
