Just finished angry tree creature boss, and I must say that so far I'm not very impressed. The first boss was an absolute joke by souls standard, the armored badger went down in a flash when I used the good old shadow hugging technique, and angry tree boss was so easy, I started playing around with my bow instead of taking it seriously (staying ranged actually turned out to be near exploit level.) Though the boss design is pretty good I do hope the next bosses proves more of a Challenge. Also the regular enemies are fine.
at least the new players won't get scared away.
1 ReplyPeople forget just how easy dark souls early game was

Edited by DsrGGuy: 4/14/2016 1:44:41 AMOh! If you think your so tough, I dare you to go fight the Dancing boss, she is right across from the first true boss, inside the the Chappell. Kill the woman, get the item, approach the altar. Then come back with your tears so I can laugh ;)

7 RepliesThere's a big skill gap between the first three bosses and the rest of the game. They probably made the beginning easy to, like you said, not scare off the new players.

Edited by DsrGGuy: 4/14/2016 1:45:13 AMLol give it time. First lord of cinder is a fun fight, very bloodborne feeling. They get harder man, much harder. Crystal sage is a good fight too. Seriously, the next few areas you go through will have you hating life in general, just you wait. Currently I'm at what appears to be exactly like Anor Londo... bitch ass archers on narrow walk ways and all.

1 ReplyAnyone know where to turn in sun medals (or whatever they're called) for the covenant?
-
3 RepliesI love all of these comments suggesting the difficulty is disappointing and the game is too easy. Must be joking. It's absolutely not easy, and I'm struggling more with the early game than any other Souls game. The lothric knights alone are excruciatingly punishing if you don't execute perfect maneuvering during the fights.

2 RepliesWill it still be hard if Someone who has never played dark souls played dark souls 3? I'm thinking of getting it
-
Just started as deprived.. First 2 were fun

I near had a heart attack when the giant inside the chapel place picked me up and threw me. I thought I was safe in a hole.

Wait till ornstine 3.0...

Oh just you wait. Get to the Abyss Watchers.

3 RepliesTook me 7 tries to kill the first boss lol.
this is my first souls game
11 RepliesDepends what build did you choose? I bet herald or knight you cleric. Try pyromancy. Needs building + no shield to block anythig. Just me and my katana.
-
The abyss watchers are the first skill check. If you're doing all bosses solo like I am.

1 ReplyI bought the Japanese Version of the game and beat it last week. New Game Plus=Easier than before

13 RepliesI'm not sure where to go after that boss. I found the giant on top of the tower and me and seigmyeyer fought that fire beast and I ended up circling around back to where I fought cursed dark wood boss. I tried fighting that ice beast and he slaughtered me. Didn't even have a chance to get up before he killed me and ever since then, I can't get the lift to go back down. I'll try and figure it out tomorrow after work though. I do like the game but to be honest, I am kind of getting sick of the area I'm in right now. It all looks the same for the last hour or so, and it just feels like I'm in a bloodborne area lol.

1 ReplyI'm still at the first boss (I beat the lizard though so please don't call me a noob haha). This is my first souls game so it is pretty solid for me. I started as a pyromancer so any tips would be good.

1 ReplyCome on man, everyone knows you gotta be a boss to beat a boss. So get in there and do it, LIKE A BOSS!!!
-
3 RepliesOnly beaten the first 2 bosses and they were easy. I was expecting the first one to be semi easy as they usually are, but the second boss, when I first saw him thought it was going to be a bitch. Dodged most of his attacks with ease. At the end he did almost kill me, but I hit him like 4 times in a second and squashed him. I'm sure they will get harder. If you remember dark souls1, the first few bosses were easy.

1 ReplyFrom what I've heard, the later areas and bosses are pretty hard. I'm at the Dilapidated Bridge bonfire atm, about to fight Greatwood.
