YOUR Dark Souls 3 first-run build?
Hey all! I'm sure there are some folks here hyped for DS3, as such I was curious to see which builds people were going to try with their first run!
In DS1 and 2 I always favored a dex-heavy bow build, but this time around I think I'm going for an even Strength-Dex build, primarily to try out the weapons, then second time around switching to a hex build to test out the miracles and sorceries. The standard longsword and shield build will be pretty fun, I imagine!
So how about yourselves? :D
EDIT 1: my personal recommendation for new players to the souls series that I used to reply to another forum goer:
[spoiler]Generally what's called a "quality build" helps the most to get you introduced to the enemies and the mechanics, so your next play through you can specialize, works best!
Typically it's a 40-40 stat distribution in Dex and strength and then balanced stats across the board for other attributes, usually getting everything else to around 10-20, putting priority on health, endurance, and adaptability.
Stat respecing has been confirmed for dark souls 3, so even if you decide half-way through you want to make a straight faith or intelligence build or whatever, you can![/spoiler]

Well in dark souls 3 right now I'm running a knight with high stamina, strength & Vitality with a little luck. Im inlove with the new Faron greatsword.

I think I'll go quality for a first run to test out weapons, then a dex/faith build because those are my preferred builds in DS1 and 2.

I think im going with magic or Pyro build this time. Probably magic. Love me some soul arrows. But I loved prenerf nerf dark souls 2 hexes so I figure why not try it?

3 RepliesI WAS going to go pyro but after stopping my ds1 pyro character because someone decided to put my disc in the Netflix return sleeve... I'm taking it as a sign I'm not supposed to + on DS3 forums people are not excited for sorcery and some have data showing it definitely got nerfed for the sake of pushing melee builds

I usually always gravitate towards a medium armor and heavy weapon build. But I may change it up a bit.

I really want to be a nice medium/light armoured knight-like figure, who uses the frozen straight sword along with being a purple phantom. If not that, then whatever weapon I choose + Catarina armour.

The build of my main character in Dark Souls 2, Heavy Armour, highly versatile (Can use most weapons and armour), and all weapon buffs. Mainly strength, Dex, and Vigour, with some int and faith.
