My thoughts are that it sucks. I'm going to have to go out of game to create a game to play later.
Never going to be able to just jump in when it's convenient for me. And that disrespect of my time burns me.
I think it might have burned me off destiny two as it shows they won't budge on it AFTER they've had it on their wish list for a year.
Your thoughts?

1 ReplyTake very little effort and time to use the recruitment section of the forums to make a fireteam.

1 ReplyThey've stated explicitly that Destiny "isn't an mmo", but they can't keep treating it like it isn't. Good mmo games have a queue for joining endgame content. This would be perfect I think. You can hop on the queue and then dick around on patrol or in the tower before the prompt shows that you are next in the queue and you can get ready to join in. I mean, shit. At least something like this would be better than giving us the finger and refusing to add any kind of matchmaking for high tier content. It's not hard to troll the forums until you can scrape together a group for an activity, but it's stupid that we can't just forgo that entirely and just let the game match us up. It would have the same results as finding people in the forums. How bungie fails to see that is confusing.
-
Personally I don't see why I have to friend request every stranger I meet on the internet just to play a video game. Seems like a good way to invite bad shit to happen if you ask me.

Destiny would be the perfect game if they had the matchmaking that The Division has. There have been some terrible groups with The Divisions matchmaking, but I've also been in some terrible groups using LFG in Destiny so it would definitely be more convenient to have an in game matchmaking system in Destiny. Bungie, it's never too late. Get it done.
-
It would be nice if Bungie gave a logical, thought out explanation as to why matchmaking is excluded from end game content. Not just a "we will give you something to do, you bring your friends" excuse. Especially in a mode as simple as POE, it seems like a "screw you".

2 RepliesFor everyone who ALWAYS states that high level end game content shouldn't have matchmaking because you could potentially get in to a match with someone you'd rather not play with for whatever reason.... You know that LFG sites would still exist, right? You know that adding matchmaking wouldn't suddenly make it so you couldn't play with your established raid group/friends, right? I mean... you KNOW that, don't you? You know that you wouldn't ever be FORCED to use the matchmaking, right? Meanwhile those of us who don't want to go out-of-game to play the game don't get to even try the game's best content. Why??!? It makes zero sense. Matchmaking for all content has been the among most requested improvements for a long time. Bungie's continual failure to listen to the player base on this front is pretty terrible. Especially now, with a game like The Division as proof that matchmaking for everything does not negatively impact the game in the slightest way.
-
POE has always been like that and everyone made it through in year 1 so whats the problem? Besides you know Bungie isn't going to listen to US until it's convenient for THEM.

Disappointed but not surprised
-
If you can't find 2 people you should just quit the game.
-
40 RepliesLike with raids it's a logical choice. End game content of any type shouldn't have matchmaking.
-
5 RepliesDownload LFG.NET It's created and ran by Planet Destiny. It is the only lfg site/app I use. It really is a great app! Every time I post my character I have a message or invite within a minute or two.

Why bother, Homefront is out soon and is a FPS so will be much better than Devision.

Bungie hates us

1 ReplyEdited by CatMan: 3/25/2016 2:22:49 AMIm impressed with bungie
-_-
,
When you think" bungie can possibly -blam!- up any more then they have already" they go "oh yeah, let us show you what we have next". Its like with destiny, they never give up on new ways to say -blam!- you and disappointing us. lmao jk about the impressed part.
I don't think we'll see it ever added in Destiny. Maybe D2. But they have to do it right. I don't think matchmaking is the solution. I think Incorporating LFG into the game in form of a social space is the best option. Rather than load it up and starr Ike how we have in Crucible and Heroic playlist
-
I think it is a mistake. I believe what Bungie thinks is that they do not want players to easily be able to compete in certain game modes and run them whenever they want. They want clans and friend lists. The more friends the more players will play. It has always been about playtime and the grind with Destiny, and the grind that was fun in y1 has become unbearable in y2 and that is why I have stopped grinding.
-
I just don't think Bungie understands that there's not much difference in a random on LFG and a random in MM. Either way it's dumb luck, and either way assholes will still bail on shitty players.
-
27 RepliesThe Division effectively has Optional Matchmaking for every single activity in the game and it has proven far more effective than these Third Party LFG sites. If Destiny still isn't getting onboard with this concept then screw 'em. Its far easier and faster to get a good, stable group and make friends by being able to matchmake in the game itself and actually socialize with said people.
-
Fight back! Control the zones!
-
It's a bad design decision, that takes you out of the game in order to play the game.
-
I think it's ridiculous. Omm should most certainly be added.
-
There is no excuse for Bungie on NOT implementing optional matchmaking in year 2016.
-
16 RepliesIt means I won't have to run it with scrubs like you. Everyone wins when there is no matchmaking
-
My thoughts...it is stupid and ignorant not to include matchmaking in all end-game activities.
