It dropped for me about a week before TTK launched. I still have it and use it every once in a while.

First one was off Atheon I lost my shit lmfao

First VoG normal I believe in Dec of year one. Dropped at the Gorgon chest and then icebreaker dropped at Atheon. My Sherpa who claimed he had over 100 clears said he'd never seen that and Damn near raged since he had neither :) Of course my casual ass at the time made it worse by asking if they were good for the raid :P

Was working through soloing Crota without gally (using a machine gun) when it dropped on the Deathsinger checkpoint. I was ecstatic- but still worked on my machine gun strat since I'd already put so much time into it. I eventually succeeded, then worked on doing it with Gally (and what do you know, it really was a lot easier....).

The gjallerhorn has been gone for months and we're still talking about it. Maybe it could be considered the best Weapon in any game ever... It's a shame Bungie got rid of it. Just another example of Bungie being disconnected from their player base.
