I did it solo legendary.
Just wait until you get to high charity.

Tha fact that there are Carbines lying around everywhere that do exactly -blam!-all to Flood, while plasma rifles and energy swords are almost nonexistent pissed me off so much during my Heroic playthrough. Doesn't help that they burn through ammo so damn fast.
