Can someone explain to me why engrams from Xur give me a Year One exotic?
Second damn week in a row! I don't understand, why would the game give me something that it KNOWS is useless to me now?

Word of advice never buy the second engram that xùr is selling unless you want 160 attack weapons. Nuff said

4 RepliesThe last Exotic Engram all the way to the right is called a "Legacy" Engram. These engrams are much more likely to give you a Y1 item, especially if you haven't filled your Y1 collection. Xur does occasionally sell regular Y2 Exotic Engrams but you have to make sure it doesn't say Legacy. Hover over it and it'll say. He doesn't always sell the Y2 engrams though so watch out for that. When he sells a Y2 Engram, he will still sell the legacy engrams, which again will be all the way to right. Hope that clears up any confusion mate ;)
