I can't be the only one who is having considerably less fun in pvp right now.
Every match is extremely tight, if I want to win I have to be absolutely on my A-game and also hope my team mates are too. And this is not helped by the terrible connections I'm constantly getting. If I'm having to sweat my balls off in pvp at least let me do it lag free.
I want to play other people who are geographically close, not from the other side of the world because they are similar in skill. The lag is honestly making the game unplayable how, it's orders of magnitude worse than it has ever been.
Also, salvage as a solo player is horrible - most games i appear to be the only player on my team who knows what the hell to do, whilst my three opponents are vastly better. I'm alright at pvp but I'm not good enough to carry two players who suck...
Tl:dr bungie revert your matchmaking to prioritise connection not sbmm.

5 RepliesTheir matchmaking is based off of the average light of your whole team

1 ReplyThere is No skill based matchmaking in Destiny, if there was, I wouldn't get stuck with 5 random Helen Kellers on my team 9 out of every 10 games!

2 RepliesThis is the twenty-first century, why not prioritise connections, then match those good connections based on skills? Does this sound too much like 'rocket science'?

Edited by XBAMNX: 1/13/2016 3:45:53 PMI agree that SBMM is a horrendous way to run your pvp. But this is a game that caters to casuals. They dont want those casuals to get stomped 7 times out of 10, and that is what no sbmm would ensure. With this type of game, where absolutely EVERYTHING can 1 shot you, and EVERYONE could have a super after the first minute of the game, sbmm is only 1 symptom of concern. The bottom line is, youll be much happier if you stop worrying about W/L, and just worry about your own performance. I know its tough, i value my victories more than my K/d, or any other stat. But thats just the cold hard truth. Destiny is NOT a competitive shooter, as some retards have claimed in these forums recently. As such, there can be no expectation of a reward of victory on the battlefied due to skill. No, it is all left to chance, its totally random. There are better games on the market at present, for a solo individual to have a good chance of leading his team to victory. It just is damn near impossible in Destiny.

1 ReplyTl;dr bungie you and ACTIVISION buy some dedicated severs already. Pier to pier obviously doesn't work. Hell even ea can at least do that and they are the closest thing to an evil empire in gaming today

5 RepliesDo you have sources that indicate they switched to skill based opposed to connectivity? I am generally curious as I have noticed an increase in lag and suspect this has something to do with it.

3 RepliesThey definitely don't have skill based mackmaking...now as far as matchmaking for regions go they had to drop that because the player base dropped so much in the last few months that it had to go or else ppl would just be waiting too long for matches to start.

Posted about this about a week ago and it really does need to be fixed. The problem is that i don't want to sweat every time i am in the crucible, make skilled matchmaking and leave the normal crucible how it is.
