To those of you who think MIda Multi tool isn't OP
Lol this whole ordeal is funny as hell, it really is. So pretty much any argument I give you guys will go straight through you. It's funny, you guys can't handle your OP any map and any range nearly best all around weapon getting nerfed so hear. Ill let you go out into the wild and ill let you prove it to yourself that the multi tool is OP.
So to show you how dumb and powerful the MIDA Multi tool really is. You will need (you can test this out in the heroic strike playlist ):
A treads upon stars or any similar archetype of scout rifle
And a MIDA Multi Tool
Step #1: Compare said scout rifle to multi tool. (You will see that said scout rifle has higher impact and lower fire rate than the Multi tool.)
Step #2: Shoot said scout rifle at an enemy. (preferably a critical shot)
Step #3: Shoot Multi tool and same enemy type and lvl (preferably a critical shot)
Test analysis: MIDA multi tool not only shoots faster than treads upon stars but also does more damage. This is just broken. You can test this out in the heroic strike playlist.
Conclusion:
#1 stats are wrong on MIDA Multi Tool (This is worry some because how many other weapons have false stats).
#2 Most of the destiny community is wrong because this proves that the MIDA Multi Tool is overpowered because it has the best of 2 archetypes ( high fire rate and high impact ).
#3 get wrecked!
Some of you guys are ridiculous. Damage wise there is no difference between legendary weapons and exotics if they are in the same archetype so they are totally comparable!

How come the year 1 version wasn't OP then? The year 2 version hasn't changed. It's just that everyone has it now. And there aren't OP guns like thorn or gahlly to compete for the exotic slot. Exotics aren't all that exotic anymore.

It's overused because high tier players praise it. It's on par with most other legendary scouts plus it boosts move speed and has third eye. There are other scouts that perform much better in terms of fire rate/impact they just don't have the same perks. MIDA is the best all around weapon. It will trade with pulse rifles at pulse range, and even auto rifles at auto range. It's so extremely balanced that it makes it the best option for most situations

My treads upon stars hits for like 56 in the head MIDA is like 50. MIDA isn't op, people are just mad there is an answer to snipers now

MIDA was and is a lower impact scout than its legendary counterparts. Year 1: barely used for its relatively low impact and lack of elemental damage, compared to similar ROF legendary raid scouts. Year 2: most 'good guns' have been "butchered", so MIDA and its counterparts now appear 'great'. MIDA hasn't improved, it's competition has been butchered so it now stands out. You put Olympic marathon runners in a race with high school athletes, but, broke their legs so they couldn't win, then you scream that high school athletes are too fast. Just plain stupid, and, you bring numbers to support how fast the high schoolers are! There is absolutely no reason to have 50 types of any gun if you are making them all equal. What is the point? Just option in cosmetic percs so we can make our gun 'look different', since they all are going to shoot the same anyway. Your point needs a better sharpener...

2 RepliesFunny though that it's been a 4 shot HS weapon since year 1 but who complained about it then? No one because shotguns/hand cannons/auto rifles took the stage for all complaints. Same with snipers, basically been the same since year 1 and were never complained about because they weren't used as much. Neither snipers or the Mida are OP at all, it's just that they are the only things that remain unnerfed. If people like pizza more than tacos does that mean we make pizza places shut down so people will eat more tacos than pizza? No it's all preference. Just because a lot of people are using snipers and scouts doesn't mean they are OP just popular. I rest my case.

Mida is fun to use. I suck with it though and prefer hand cannons in PvP. Using mida doesn't make you instantly better so that makes it not op.

It does less damage per shot in both crucible and PvE than higher impact scouts.

during iron banner i used my mida...but not always....i switched out for my hung jury(which just for notes was actually doing more damage per crit than the mida...think it was 10 or 13 points more per crit)i use my mida cuz frankly its an awesome gun...i used it most of the way through y1 also when i was shooting from range..but im mostly a pve player as i rage a lot and cant be -blam!-ed with lag in pvp so i stick to strikes and if im brave(enter the lag)ill run the raid

There are two reasons why I use mida over other scouts in PvP. First, mobility... You can spec out on armor, and still have good agility. Second, and probably the biggest positive for it, high caliber rounds being a hidden perk. Without, it wouldn't be nearly as good in head to head duels. Hair trigger really doesn't do anything for me. I don't feel that it's op, but is a strong mid range scout. Against other mid ROF scouts with hcr, it feels weaker and less precise but the mobility and snappy feel makes up for it. Looking range maps it suffers against almost all other scouts.
