To those of you who think MIda Multi tool isn't OP
Lol this whole ordeal is funny as hell, it really is. So pretty much any argument I give you guys will go straight through you. It's funny, you guys can't handle your OP any map and any range nearly best all around weapon getting nerfed so hear. Ill let you go out into the wild and ill let you prove it to yourself that the multi tool is OP.
So to show you how dumb and powerful the MIDA Multi tool really is. You will need (you can test this out in the heroic strike playlist ):
A treads upon stars or any similar archetype of scout rifle
And a MIDA Multi Tool
Step #1: Compare said scout rifle to multi tool. (You will see that said scout rifle has higher impact and lower fire rate than the Multi tool.)
Step #2: Shoot said scout rifle at an enemy. (preferably a critical shot)
Step #3: Shoot Multi tool and same enemy type and lvl (preferably a critical shot)
Test analysis: MIDA multi tool not only shoots faster than treads upon stars but also does more damage. This is just broken. You can test this out in the heroic strike playlist.
Conclusion:
#1 stats are wrong on MIDA Multi Tool (This is worry some because how many other weapons have false stats).
#2 Most of the destiny community is wrong because this proves that the MIDA Multi Tool is overpowered because it has the best of 2 archetypes ( high fire rate and high impact ).
#3 get wrecked!
Some of you guys are ridiculous. Damage wise there is no difference between legendary weapons and exotics if they are in the same archetype so they are totally comparable!

AND WHY IS IT OVERUSED!?!? Yes because it's overpowered. Now your getting it.

I was close enough to cancel out any damage drop off. I used a Boolean Gemini for comparison (smooth ballistics and aggressive ballistics). Both guns were at 310. MIDA: 273 dmg BG (smooth b.): 293 dmg BG (aggressive b.): 308 dmg I'm not very surprised about this. Stating that it's still a 4 headshot kill in pvp while having higher fire rate than the hung jury archetype might have been a better point.

It's overused because players like you made every other weapon in this game garbage ,now it's the only balanced thing in a world full with crap weapons It wasn't overpowers in year one it isn't now,people only used it because every other thing sucks

Auto Rifles used to keep close range scouts in check, But since they -blam!-ed up that Auto Buff, the mida rules

1 ReplyNo if I can beat a mida with an auto rifle at any range other then in your face its not op, and I do all the time, it's a well rounded gun with a very short ttk it's over used because people like you decided to complain here about ars, shottys and hand cannons in y1 got them nerfed to shit then in y2 you complained so hard that they nerfed shottys again, then got pulse rifles nerfed into the ground, any other viable option other then mida, is nerfed. Get good while I murk you with my doctrine

This is funny, I just got mida from 3 of coins in slr. This weapon is great, it reminds me of my old badger, yes I used the badger during the whole thorn craze Did I use mida in iron banner..you bet your ass I did. Scouts are what i cut my teath on the first part of last year...Did I still get wrecked in Iron Banner....yup. I'm not a great pvp player to begin with. Just because I used it does not mean I placed first everytime. I still got my ass handed to me most of the time.

Edited by Weeeaal: 1/6/2016 6:38:58 PMDude, what? MIDA does 55hs in the Crucible, 37(i think) to the body. Treads/Hung Jury types do 61 hs near 45 to the body(forgot exact body shot numbers). Just because it takes the same amount of bullets does not mean the faster one is also stronger.

Where was this guy when I was using MIDA in year one and getting laughed out of Iron Banner. And then proceeded to clean house with and be accused of hacks. It's always been a kickass weapon. Just with all other archetypes gone to shit the only half decent weapon a casual player can get is the MIDA. Even during the pulse rifle phase of the last patch, I used hung jury while everyone else was using nirwens mercy. And now that my warlock has tlaloc I use that exclusively. I really can't be begin to comprehend this, as of this point, literally 3 percent of the primary weapons in this game are effective anymore because of the nerfs and broken "buffs". It's like Stalinism, if nobody can win, then no body can lose! And you know what? I hate to sound like a snob, but we didn't have calls for nerfs until House of Wolves. We were happy with what we had and we didn't bitch about how, "that weapon is so overpowered because I've been killed by it 20 times" we just told each other to, "git gud". And we did. Thorn? While it was broken for PVP, was a fantastic in PVE. And when we encountered it in PVP we adapted to it. We learned to move the -blam!- out of the way and counter it. For MIDA? Use elevation to your advantage, just like with every other scout rifle stay moving and close the gap as quickly as possible to break their footing, and wipe the floor with them before they pull out a shotgun or side arm. Maybe if more people used strategy rather than trying to use a sniper rifle 5 feet away or bum rushing with shotguns/HRoF autorifles calls for nerfs wouldn't so prevalent. Instead of bringing the weapon down to your level of skill, improve and match your skill level that of the weapon, and it will never best you.

The reason your MIDA does more damage is most likely because it is a higher light level. Instead, you should go into the crucible and land a headshot (since normal crucible is not levelled) and see that the tread upon stars deals more damage.

Is tour tread lower light level than the mida? My hung jury does more damage than my mida and my hung jury was at 302 when I did the test.
