So just a few moments ago something very odd happened in the Cosmodrome to me and a bunch of random low level characters.
I was grinding and doing some bounties to get my Warlock as close to 40 as I can in one night, and I ended up in a low level area in the cosmodrome.
It wasn't like a Level 5 area. It's mostly populated by Level 9 to maybe 12 or so.
And I'm was a Level 33 Warlock so stuff was easy to kill.
It's the same area where one of the original grinding caves used to be. The one where everyone stood in front of it, waited for a wave of Hive to spawn, and then mow them down for easy XP and loot.
A weird event happened (not like an Event like the Fallen Walkers), where Taken, Fallen and Hive started spawning literally everywhere.
Not so weird right? It was pretty normal at first but the initial big group wave didn't end.
Then this Knight came. He seemed off.
I was a little intimidated by the fact his Level number was a Skull.
He had a name. I don't full recall it.
But it was something like Urgok, The Hated.
Or The Hatred.
I focused on getting all these easy cheap head shots, but Fallen Majors kept over spawning and swarming me.
This is where we all started freaking out.
I shot at the Knight.
He resisted all my damage.
Grenades, Melee and Supers barely hurt his shields.
He killed me, and every player with one swing.
I know that Damage and everything is recalculated so High Level Players can't be over powered in Lower Level areas.
But I was doing 0 damage to him.
The Knight started hunting players, specifically too.
My heart is actually racing still, it was terrifying.
This one player who's gamer tag was something like cooler###### (I don't remember the numbers),
He shot at the Knight. And like me was a little surprised by the Resist in damage.
The Knight then sprinted, ignoring everything he could've killed and cleaved this poor kid in half.
I noticed that if we avoided shooting and being within eye site he would leave us be.
In the time he wasn't attacking anyone. All he did was sit in a mosh pit / riot / war zone of just Fallen Servitors (about 2 or 3) and a boat load of Dregs with Vandals sprinkled in.
The Knight didn't really do to much. The Fallen shot like mad men at obscenely close range. Yet, he didn't seem to mind. Maybe he was having a hard time deciding which one to kill.
But the moment a player shot a round off in his direction, it was like one of those Dog versions of the Horse Races. Just the ferocious beast taking off to kill something, like us shooting was a starting gun.
The lower level players kept trying (and failing) to kill him. I took the hint something was wrong and hid in a corner hoping he'd leave.
Then, maybe after 10 or so minutes of being slaughtered by an overproduction of Fallen and now also Hive Majors. They all just de-spawned.
Gone. No trace.
This seemed to happened fairly consistently in this area after the initial event. We'll be fighting a group of Fallen and they'll all just de-spawn. Teleport away. All of them.
I can't find any info on this weird knight.
If anyone knows anything, please tell me. This is a very interesting enemy I'd like to take on with my Level 40 Titan for a Challenge.
Again, appeared near the old spawning caves where people would camp over in the cosmodrome.

the event was "the enemy moves against each other" which, as you described, just makes a bunch of baddies spawn and fight each other. the specific knight in question is Urzok, The Hated, who was part of a TDB questline.

Thunderlord ftw

lmao!! Noob.

4 RepliesAs a Day 1 player, and kind of a selfish Guardian, it hurts me to see Guardians who don't know about an enemy like Urzok who were introduced SO EARLY IN THE -blam!-ING GAME. I know they just started playing, but have they not heard absolutely ANYTHING about this game in the time they hadn't played? Like, this game is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE on YouTube. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS GAME WHEN IT IS LITERALLY EVERYWHERE....

4 RepliesEdited by T Moneyzz: 12/31/2015 5:30:20 PMAhhh good ol Urzok Who remembers Urn of Sacrifice?
-
Urzok the hated. Strong arc shields. He's made even harder with the swarms of majors that appear when "the enemy is moving towards one another." Since you're new, get a arc subclass, preferably stormcaller or striker (bd was to close for my taste) arc special, and thunderlord or any heavy with arc base. Do as much damage as you can. You die, summon your sparrow and haul ass back to him and do it again. His shield will regenerate but health wont. Good luck.

U must have just gotten the game because Urok the hated has been kicking baby guardians ass's forever in the Skywatch lmfao NOOB!!!
-
Lmao this is awesome you must be a writer IRL because this was great and hilariously funny, but yeah I'm sure people have told you that he is an old quest boss from the dark below dlc.
-
I thought this was a troll... But then I saw that grimoire.
-
Never did the dark below quest??
-
2 RepliesTime to get a Thunderbird Guardian. You will melt him.
-
Ahhhh, Urzok. I can see why you are hated.
-
Use arc weapons
-
Yeeeahhh I've just stopped trying to kill him when I would do the public events. I just love watching the newbs try and go for him.
-
In TDB eris has a mission where you had to kill him, his shields are epically strong

1 ReplyEdited by Reload: 12/31/2015 5:47:27 PMGo in those caves and there's a message on the ground, the message tells of what us guardians did for loot in the very first few weeks

Edited by Entropy91: 12/31/2015 4:35:37 PMI used to wreck his face with the old Thunderlord and Found Verdict combo. And Fatebringer, naturally. Good times.

Oh the memories

4 RepliesI remember the first time I had the quest to kill that bastard. Thought, "oh, this will be easy, just a VIP kill, no sweat." Went to skywatch, waited for the event, found Urzok and started to fight ....had similar results as you.....he is one tough Knight. Reminds me of the first day I played, and ran into the Fallen Walker in the Divide as a level 4.....got blown up, and hid in a ditch until it went away. Stories of us being awesome are tons of fun to tell, but I enjoy the stories of our failures much more, because they are usually funnier. :) See you in the Wilds, Guardian.

lol you must be new m8. He's always there! Haha

1 ReplyFall before Urzok, The Hated!
-
Aaahhh Christmas newbs. They are next generation of out frontier.

Good ol' Urzok. Try fighting the Taken Zealot and than have the enemy move against each other. Luckily for me it was the early days of TTK and there were plenty of other guardians working on the quest. It was a crazy fight.
