Strange Hive Knight in Cosmodrome

So just a few moments ago something very odd happened in the Cosmodrome to me and a bunch of random low level characters. I was grinding and doing some bounties to get my Warlock as close to 40 as I can in one night, and I ended up in a low level area in the cosmodrome. It wasn't like a Level 5 area. It's mostly populated by Level 9 to maybe 12 or so. And I'm was a Level 33 Warlock so stuff was easy to kill. It's the same area where one of the original grinding caves used to be. The one where everyone stood in front of it, waited for a wave of Hive to spawn, and then mow them down for easy XP and loot. A weird event happened (not like an Event like the Fallen Walkers), where Taken, Fallen and Hive started spawning literally everywhere. Not so weird right? It was pretty normal at first but the initial big group wave didn't end. Then this Knight came. He seemed off. I was a little intimidated by the fact his Level number was a Skull. He had a name. I don't full recall it. But it was something like Urgok, The Hated. Or The Hatred. I focused on getting all these easy cheap head shots, but Fallen Majors kept over spawning and swarming me. This is where we all started freaking out. I shot at the Knight. He resisted all my damage. Grenades, Melee and Supers barely hurt his shields. He killed me, and every player with one swing. I know that Damage and everything is recalculated so High Level Players can't be over powered in Lower Level areas. But I was doing 0 damage to him. The Knight started hunting players, specifically too. My heart is actually racing still, it was terrifying. This one player who's gamer tag was something like cooler###### (I don't remember the numbers), He shot at the Knight. And like me was a little surprised by the Resist in damage. The Knight then sprinted, ignoring everything he could've killed and cleaved this poor kid in half. I noticed that if we avoided shooting and being within eye site he would leave us be. In the time he wasn't attacking anyone. All he did was sit in a mosh pit / riot / war zone of just Fallen Servitors (about 2 or 3) and a boat load of Dregs with Vandals sprinkled in. The Knight didn't really do to much. The Fallen shot like mad men at obscenely close range. Yet, he didn't seem to mind. Maybe he was having a hard time deciding which one to kill. But the moment a player shot a round off in his direction, it was like one of those Dog versions of the Horse Races. Just the ferocious beast taking off to kill something, like us shooting was a starting gun. The lower level players kept trying (and failing) to kill him. I took the hint something was wrong and hid in a corner hoping he'd leave. Then, maybe after 10 or so minutes of being slaughtered by an overproduction of Fallen and now also Hive Majors. They all just de-spawned. Gone. No trace. This seemed to happened fairly consistently in this area after the initial event. We'll be fighting a group of Fallen and they'll all just de-spawn. Teleport away. All of them. I can't find any info on this weird knight. If anyone knows anything, please tell me. This is a very interesting enemy I'd like to take on with my Level 40 Titan for a Challenge. Again, appeared near the old spawning caves where people would camp over in the cosmodrome.

  • Get an arc sword. Jump. Bumper, trigger, repeat.

  • He's a fun night. You just need to take out his shield (I believe it's arc) then he's easy to kill. Also he's max level I'm pretty sure

Try going to the forgotten shores. There's rumors of a vandal there that is crazy hard to kill for his level. Long live Randall the vandal.

    • Has anyone faced the anti sleeper-celestial-tether-gjallasword Centurion on the dreadnought (random event)? He's definitely the strongest enemy I've ever seen

      • Oh, you must be talking about old Urzok the Hated. Yeah, he does what he does, shows up whenever there's a warsat or during the "the enemy is moving against each other" events every now and then. He's a Dark Below enemy, ah good times. Dark Below was pretty lackluster but man were those patrol additions fun, Blades of Crota are better than Wolf Packs or Taken hordes will ever be. He's got a mean ark shield, but once you get that down he's all bark no bite, we could take him down back last winter when we were all 20-32 so there should be no trouble in taking him down... unless you suck, that is :)

      • Yep, Urzok the hated. A couple of arc heavy machine guns will have him melting....

      • Urzok the Hated. An insanely overpowered Arc shield, but once you can get through that, he goes down like a regular Major. Oh, God, I'm still horrified of Urzok. I also have an insane need to kill him during public events at Skywatch, even if it costs me the warsat, as if just to prove that I still can.

      • Looks like you fell before Urzok the hated. It's normal to go into total panic when confronted with his ridiculous shields, enemy swarms, and targeting AI that allows him to go after single targets without fail. Please refer to the panic button installed in controller. Which button is that you ask? ALL OF THEM

      • Urzok the Hated. He's really tough. Arc shield that's really powerful and resists damage (as you saw) and that regens really fast if you have to lift any form of focus. Fun fight back in the day.

      • It's the hardest knight to kill, shows up on public events in the sky watch (Warsat), and sometimes the the fallen-hive battle

          • That's Urzok. He was part of a Dark Below quest. Bungie just left him in the game I guess. He's a tough one. Nothing special about him though. Sometimes you get those war events instead of public events. It happens on Mars too.
