Move this to #Destiny where people might care. You'll get no love for that game here...

No love for battleborn or destiny?

I feel like this whole thing is directed at the Destiny fan base. But it's not in #Destiny

Oh, gotcha. I figured it was bit off topic and will get buried in the main thread

I like this post though. This is a perfect example of why people need to stop defending game companies taking advantage of people. Microtransactions in Halo 5 are being defended, because of that you know other games are going to implicate them in any way they can. They set trends that aren't easily broken. We won't get out of the cut content/DLC/Microtransactions era anytime soon if everyone says it's ok when it isn't....

Ya know, I understand why they do it. Hell, I've been gaming since Nintendo and games were $50 to buy back then. The most expensive game I ever purchased was super street fighter 2 for $80 (by me I mean my grandmother) so I understand the cost of game development has to increase like anything else. That being said... I rather pay it up front. If the game is a $120 game put it out there from the beginning with all the content. When you do this MT/dlc stuff it splits the community and adds a sense of being ripped off due to a belief that they are holding on to finished content and releasing half a game. Happened to me with my favorite FPS Crysis 2. I hardly ever buy dlc but I loved the game so much I purchased all of the "new" maps. Unfortunately I was not on the same page as the rest of the community so it was usually me vs one other guy. That experience makes your base uneasy about investing more in the game even if they like the game.
