I totally saw Han Solo's death coming from a mile away. I mean seriously. They were on a long bridge over a deep chasm, Chewbaccaa, Rey, and Finn were all separated from him, and the sky started getting dark and it shined a red light on Kylo's face. I mean the movie was still amazing, but I kinda wish his death had been a bit more of a surprise.

Now as for Han..and the actor Harrison Ford this is a interesting clip earlier this past month on the subject of Han being killed off watch the Whole clip or goto the 240 on mark: https://youtu.be/6kDhd1JVimc Once you watched that..I want to pint out one more interesting bit... Han Solo has probably always had the force..not as strong as Leia or Luke's. Now in this movie they clearly cover this..Klyo Ren(Ben Solo) sensed his presence..and Leia sensed his death..which could only be because he had the force in him as well and never knew it or explored it
-
Yes, I know he wanted to be killed off, which honestly, I feel like it was executed well in Episode VII, other than how obvious it was. As for the Force, you must remember that multiple characters have stated that every living thing has the Force flowing through them. But, you have a very solid point, because in any of the other movies, the only characters they sensed and said the names of were those who had the Force. I'm just not sure I believe he had the Force at all though, and I would say it would be something to research quite a bit due to how interesting that is.
Edited by Excarkun: 12/18/2015 3:56:16 PM
I think Han was Very cocky and Very lucky for a reason....he just didn't believe it and never explored it for himself... I hope Luke at least taught his sister some Jedi tricks..ablities like Yoda requested him too before he passed
-
It is very possible. Luke may have trained Leia a bit, but for the age she was at it would have been very difficult for her to start training.
-
Edited by Excarkun: 12/18/2015 4:18:56 PM
They where twins don't forget. Luke just finished his training..
-
And when he started, Yoda said it was very late to start his training and that it was not worth it.
-
some fgt pmed me a pic of the exact moment Han had a lightsaber through him
-
LMAO. That's one way of getting spoiled.
-
Kill him
-
not only that, but Harrison Ford wanted to die in 6 and he's not getting any younger so I figured they would kill him off. I also thought it would be his son that kills him because I thought that would be the most crushing way for Han to die and if you're gonna kill off a character of that magnitude, it's gotta be epic.
-
Yes, he has wanted Han to die for a while, and have a heroic death, which I would say it was in Episode VII. I had some tears. It was a huge moment.
-
Pretty screwed up too, Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) killing his own father.
-
Same here. His death was disappointing. Not that he died but just how predictable it was.
-
If it wasn't as predictable it would have been fine.
-
Yup
-
Oh yeah, as did I. There was no way anyone should think he was going to live after he set foot onto that walkway. But damn! Right in the feels!
-
But yeah, couldn't not see that.
-
The Star Wars movies "Rhyme". I predicted Han's death because of this. Obi-Wan mirrors Qui-Gon AND Han Leia mirrors Padme and (Idk) Luke mirrors Anakin and Rey. I think that Obi-Wan mirroring Qui-Gon is supposed to include Han too… because they all die in the first movie of their respective Trilogies. Just speculation.
-
Coincidence? I think not!

Edited by Excarkun: 12/18/2015 5:34:55 AMMy thoughts on your spoilers..
Harrison Ford is getting up there in age now. He wanted his character killed off in both empire and return of the Jedi..you can Google the Jimmy Fallon clip where he talked about it...one more spoiler Luke wife and family was killed off by Hans son. Well so Luke thought they all where. So one reason he hid..he was in morning..and in regret in not seeing it and not stopping it..but now is his family all dead?? ..
-
thats what I was thinking, they aren't going to live forever and it's gonna suck if they just suddenly disappear in one movie when they were perfectly fine in the last one Lmao like Luke Skywalker did
Edited by Excarkun: 12/18/2015 2:16:15 PM
What I was suggesting is that Rey is his long lost thought killed off by Ben solo daughter.. but she could still some how end up a solo kid.. that Han never knew he had....
-
i think she could be Luke's daughter. His light saber calling to her was one clue, and she said she wanted to wait on Jakku because she was hoping her parents that vanished (like Luke Skywalker) would come back one day. But I guess only time will tell
Edited by Excarkun: 12/18/2015 2:59:37 PM
she was really young in her force remember dream ...when she was left there..someone like Snoke, New Sith Lord or Hans son Ben Solo killed off all Luke's trained Jedi. Including again his immediate family. I'm now starting to lean more that Snoke did it, and Luke's wife ran for her life and dropped off their daughter on that planet for her safety(Luke not being in contact and searching for her while she was running for her life and kids or daughters as well).. I would bet she was thinking (whiched worked out) the daughter would be safe for time being there..Sith wouldn't look there or even worry or know about her. And Luke's wife would come back and get her after she killed Snoke or the Kights of Ren or who ever was hot on her trail..
