What's the best way to beat the shade of Oryx?
I find that people die when fighting the shape. What do people do to reduce the chance of death when fighting the shade of Oryx during the final fight of the Raid.
I've played with people who drop a bubble, but I've discovered that it be a hindrance and can waste the clock. I've seen people shoot arrows at the shade, but it sometimes causes him to swing like a wild animal 4+ times in a row.
I just want to see if there is something truly creative out there.

Whoever is in the bubble when he comes in to slam needs to jump over his head immediately and trigger his slam on the side instead of letting him kill someone as they spawn in the middle.

I just combo out with the raid LMG and the raid Sniper. Use one until clip is out of ammo. Swap weapons and repeat. Cocoon works amazingly

2 RepliesI'll never understand why people die while he comes at you 2 miles an hour with the sword. All you have to do is jump side ways from where he is swinging. Never just straight up or straight away from him.

Only tether when the shade is outside the arena. Lmgs melt him

If your team is comfortable with it, just use 6 sniper rifles. If you have a Titan, drop a blessing bubble and use the Touch. If you all have LMG's, waste him with those. A tether can stop him for a second, but he may behave unpredictably afterwards.

Throw a flashbang...don't think that there should be any shade after that.

My group pops a bubble of blessing just in case

Snipers and hmgs or sleeper and tether only make the shade go crazy if you shoot him in the middle

Blessing+ToM+St.14 = Shade dead before the 3rd person gets pulled in.

Blessing in the center helps....snipes to the head and only teather AFTER he slams and respawns on the outside. Also helps if the people on the outside don't let adds in.

Tether when he's in the outside, not inside. That's just suicide. Also, just shoot him lol LMG plus Sniper works great. Bubbles are ok, just make sure you're not an idiot.

Only tether him when he is on the outside, a bubble with blessings of light will ensure that you are at no risk of death from him when he swings. Other than that snipers and heavy are the fastest ways to drop him.
