Using aclyophage and as stated in the title. The super bar is a quarter of the way gone before a single shot can even get fired. I truly don't understand why they did that. They trashed the only usable exotic for gunslingers from year 1 to make others seem better
Edit: people making the argument that this is how exotics will be in the future coming with a disadvantage as well as an advantage..
Here's a list of comparable changes to super altering armor pieces I thought of to irritate everyone equally to how I feel now:

Helm of Saint: reduces active bubble time by 1/3 for the power of blinding
Titan Crest: reduces effectiveness of armor,blessing, weapons. Less radius of FoH and HoS
Immolation Fists: when used in combination with ForgeMaster reduces the active super time in half
Light Beyond Nemesis: less nova bomb blast radius, weaker chaining, less grenade and melee damage in radiance
Impossible Machines: reduces Stormtrance timer by 1/2 (it's a FoH ffs)
Heart of Praxic Fire: when using fire bolt and ToF with Viking funeral doubles the grenade and melee cool down
Hunter Crest: slows golden gun travel time, shortens Bladedancer slash distance, slower activating tether
Mask of Third Man: further reduced slash distance and even worse hit detection (top kek)
ATS Arachnid: slows rate of fire to No Land Beyond level because it becomes a sniper

Edit: Still yet to hear anyone come up with a valid reasoning to why this is okay to nerf golden gun time for an additional shot. While ForgeMaster gives 2 extra hammers and doesn't reduce the timer. Someone enlighten me pls
Bonus game: anyone who uses the words "4 guaranteed kills per super" I will look up your stats and you better hope your Hunter is averaging 8 kills per game with your super (it won't be)

That helmet is the bomb man. I used it all year one, and I'm using it again. Adjust how you use to it optimize the amount of time you have. If you pop golden gun far away from enemies, even without the helmet, you usually can't get three kills.

Yeah I don't really understand the logic behind that decision. I think it was a very fair exotic to begin with but why make a downside to it.

"this feels so good".... but that activation of the gunslinger takes forever and I can not tell you how many times I have been shut down when I activate the golden gun.... it seems a match ... but it hurts more not to use ur super or not to get any kill with it...... also.. some majors don't die with 3 gg shots... but hammer ....well I have to try after the patch... I do think they could extend gg time a little bit.

I believe they should've changed the way the super works to offset the loss of time due to gg animation. My recommendation would've been to eliminate the penalization of firing a shot from gg. Every time you fire a gg shot, a sizable portion of your super meter is drained. If you combine the reduced time while using AS, and the animation taking up half of your super, with firing all three shots with a minimum of one second in between each, you're actually left with no time to secure a fourth kill. (You have to take into consideration travel time.) Now, if they removed they penalization for firing a gg shot, you'd have enough time to travel, but not enough time to get a kill, travel, secure another kill, repeat. It'd make using all four shots more feasible, while challenging the user to think about when, and where to activate it in order to secure the most potential from it.

I was suprised by this retarded decision but personally i could not care less. I main a gunslinger and the double tripmine arm piece is the only exotic armor i ever use in pvp :)

1 ReplySpine of Ahamkara were always better. They will earn you a ton of kills whereas AS will net you one extra kill per super, so 2-3 kills per game. Its actually not that good
