Well that's kind of unfortunate. I don't want to play a game spread out across 3 years. I'm wondering how many episodes they'll release and what they'll cost, and if this will have negative effects on the story or gameplay.

Do you think it's better to play an episode early and get periodic episodes? Or wait 3 years for it to be done?
or however long it takes
Edited by Tuxx: 12/8/2015 10:01:04 AMI'd rather wait three years personally. Who knows how long it will take them to deliver each part. I'd rather be able to take my time and go at my own pace throughout its entirety. If they split it up, I'll end up playing through part 1, forgetting a bunch of stuff and waiting for however long it takes for the next part (maybe 6, 8 months, a year? Idk). I'd prefer to have a complete game where I'm not forced to chop up and interrupt the flow of the story. They say it's to "get the game to gamers faster", but I'm skeptical of their real intentions after the Deus Ex "augment your preorder" crap.

Idk anything about deus ex , but my friend was the one who brang the whole getting it to gamers first. For me, personally it ruined the excitement of the whole thing. So I decided to tell my friend. To which he said "Dude that's good news. We've been fucking waiting years for this shit. This means We won't have to wait 6 more fucking years just to try the god damn thing out" To which I said "....well I never thought of it that way" And honestly, since idk how long it would take if it were to be held back....I can't really say how I feel. My life is already changing more and more and I am progressivley playing way less video games. There's a chance I wouldn't give a shit about something like this a few years from now. I played the shit out of ff7 as well too. I can't really say I'll forget it if it were released periodically for the sake of playing the shit out of it and knowing the story so well. If things are changed though, I can see what you mean, like you might forget but...idk it's not something I'd be too worried about. Either way though, I think some good games will always kinda be occupying my time so to speak. I do hate being teased by a trailer, waiting x amount of years for it, it coming out, me be dissapointed after years if waiting. I'd rather now just find out if I'll at least like the base of what I'll be playing out lol

Edited by Tuxx: 12/8/2015 1:25:29 PMYeah, I get that. I guess that I feel like the development time is going to be similar whether released in parts or at once. When it's done, it's done. I'll probably wait until the game's finished before I pick it up.

All I know....is we've wanted this shit for a long long time. At this rate, most fans will end up not caring when it actually does get it's first episodic release and get it anyways. I prefer a full game too, but it's like....fuck it...I'll take what I can get bro haha.

Lol I feel ya. I've never gotten into an episodic game other than Kings Quest episode 1, but if my backlog of games is all used up I may buy into the parts at a time model.. as much as I don't like it >_<. Honestly as long as fans have been waiting, if they're still anticipating this idk if they'll ever not be excited lol.

I read that each "episode" will have the same content and gameplay as a full game

Edited by Tuxx: 12/8/2015 9:55:57 AMSeems hard to believe. I mean it's not a telltale game >_<. I just have a sinking feeling that they're gonna turn this thing into a poorly stitched together cash grab.

I doubt it.
