Here is the problem with that. In true competitive terms: You would more than likely be matched with people of similar skill level to you. You win, you progress. You lose, you go down. Now heres the thing, if you are playing people of similar skill to you, then you would be very lucky to even break 1.2 for your K/D ratio. Those people who are almost the same skill as you, would have a similar amount of kills and deaths as you. Now that applies to games where a competitive mode is available (CS:GO for example). It does not apply to Destiny as matchmaking is based on connection, and there is no official competitive side to it, so you could stomp turbo scrubs for a higher k/d or get trashed and get a low k/d.

 • Or you can check their elo score... As it's based off the skill of other players you play

 • Yes I love the ELO system (was gold in Clash for 2 days lol), yet this post is about K/D, not ELO.

 • I know it's about kd but op thinks that kd matters when it really doesn't matter at all. Kd only matters to those who play casually because they think that a higher kd is indicative of skill. Players who are competitive know that kd is not representative of skill because competitive players play against similar skilled players, therefore they will have "low kd"

 • Exactly what I said in my post! Also with that point, what would a high or low k/d give you in Destiny anyway?

 • Yea I know but I wanted to explain myself for the response on elo score. In no game does a high kd give you anything. It's only for players to think their better than someone else. It's a thing that's put into fps games so that players can continue to play in hopes of having a higher kd.
