Fallout 4, how many settlers do you have?
I have 35 at the castle and 35 on the island including my beer robot and super mutant. Does anyone have more then 35?
I wanna know if it caps out at 35 or if you can get more.
Edit: ok, now I have 67 settlers in 1 settlement. So as far as I know there is no cap to how many settlers you can have.
Tip: if it says you have 0 people in you settlement on the map. But you know it's not true.
Don't go there
Instead send more people from other settlements to the one that says you have 0.
When you get there you'll have however many was there plus all the new settlers you just sent there.
This should help a few people out, I'll try to find out how to trigger it.

2 Replies36 settlers at the castle now. I almost had 0. I was in my power armour and jumped off the wall to get down quicker. But I landed on a settler. Then the rest of them started to shoot at me. I was gonna kill 'em all. But I just reloaded an old save instead.

Everyone's settlement starts of being able to hold 10 settlers You get a +1 for every perk list you fill. So if you get your strength to level 10 you can have 1 more settler in your settlement Now it's charisma time If your charisma is at level 10 before you get the charisma bobblehead, you'll get a permanent +1. Now every charisma point bonus you get from wearing clothes, drinking beer and taking drugs. You'll be able to get that amount of people into your settlement. 10 having a settlement 10 all perks at max 1 bobblehead after charisma perk is maxed 1 wig 1 sunglasses 3 outfit 1 beer 5 grape mentals 2 X- something, I forgot what it's called = 34 settlers plus whatever else you can find that will boost your charisma. Another trick is if you drop a lot of weapons in your settlement and then scrap them it'll lower the settlements compacity gauge so you can build more stuff in your settlement.

1 ReplyI really wanna start building at the castle but all my effort has went into Sanctuary, I'm actually surprised to hear you can have more than 20 settlers, I didn't think that was possible actually. Must be only certain places.

How the -blam!- does people have more than 20? I can't increase sanctuary's settlers past 20 and it makes it -blam!-ing impossible to send companions back there when I want to change

I don't do settlements. On the open road, doing quests and collecting powerful weapons. Probably gonna buy that house in Diamond City and customize that later today.

Had 20 then I came home one day so that my "Big Boy" Fatman I had on display in my home had been taken. It was gone. Looked everywhere. I then proceeded to grab my magnum and shot off the head of every settler there then loaded back like an hour of saves till I found it again untouched. I got rid of my settlement after that.
