Look up the grandfather paradox. If you kill Hitler, then you would not have a reason to time travel and kill Hitler. But then Hitler is alive and then you have a reason to kill him etc.

Technological advances would be held back by 100s of years. If ww2 wouldn't have had happened, then the nuclear bomb may have not of happened for many years neither. Which may have caused the Cold War to be an actually boots the ground war. Russia knew the power of the nukes, and didn't want any part of it. For all we know, a different world war could've happened that we could be fighting to this day. You should thank Hitler for all the knowledge he brought to this world.
