So if you somehow magically haven't heard about it, getting to 320 is a relentless and brutal grind. Drops are 99% of the time lower than what you have, making advancing through Light Levels massively difficult. I propose an Idea to Bungie hat would significantly reduce the grind to get to light 320, and allow any player to be able to reach that rank (So a player who Only does PvP doesn't need to do the raid to get to 320)
And this wonderful idea is:
INFUSION CORES
My Idea is adding a new item to the loot table, Infusion Cores
They are a Rare Item that can drop from any activity, like Motes, and can be used on any non-320 Piece of gear.
They have the same interface as Motes and Infusing, Simply selecting the item and holding Square to use it, then click on the Item you wish to buff-up. A Buffed piece goes up 1 level (A 319 Auto Rifle will go up to 320)
There would also be Legendary Raid (Or Trials / IB for PvP) Cores, that Add an additional level to a piece of equipment (318-320)
So what do you think? Successful potential or doomed to fail? Even though it is small, it would stop the people moaning about Raid Drops (But I still do want them to get fixed) from never getting 320 Drops. They aren't common enough to get you to 320 In a day, but they aren't rarer than the Gjallarhorn either, I'd say a 1% Drop Rate from any enemy, they'd also come in bulk like Motes too, sometimes getting a Cluster of 3-4 from a Spree or Bounty Completion.
FYI
Sorry for the Self-Bumps, but I really want your opinion about this!
Bungie, Please Acknowledge this! Let us know you're listening!

They don't care about reducing the grind. No matter how much they say they care about the game and making it better for everyone, it's all just a lie. All they care about is playtime and money. The more you grind for 320, the more play time you clock in. And as far as money goes, well, the Refer-A-Friend quest...

If in the same drop rate as motes of light then no. I get atleast 10 motes of 1 hour of play. I could level up all the guns I liked to 320 in a day.

Omg, the 80-20 ratio on this
Bump.
Are you kidding?? If you do that not only will the game and customers be better served, but it will make the other activities more relevant and worth the grind! If you're not careful you can even make the game even more fun!!!! These people today, I swear... /s

Edited by Musashi Orboro3: 11/23/2015 3:14:50 AMSounds familiar... In all honesty, Destiny doesn't need another specialized resource that people have to grind for. What Destiny needs is a balanced standard for gear so that the new stuff doesn't render the old stuff worthless. By constantly increasing stat and level caps Bungie is just dangling a carrot in front of players that they can never reach, which only keeps them dependent on a frustrating and unenjoyable RNG slot machine.

4 RepliesHahahahahahah This Guy right here... He thinks Bungie wants anything to do with REDUCING the grind!!!! Hahahahahahhaha Some people i swear!

Very good idea bro. Exactly why it won't be implemented unfortunately however. This IS Bungie we are talking about here.

Or...wait til December update and find out wat their plan is for Etheric Light.....

3 RepliesOr they could cut the bullshit and make items in the raid drop at 300, 305, and 310 on normal and then 310, 315, and 320 on hard.

To the tool table? Son that's not how this works. It would go to Tess's inventory lol.

1 ReplyYes, please! The grind is the worst of Destiny.

Played the raid to golgoth got a 303 ghost. Yet I still made it to 311 thanks to IB

How about letting us use the useless crux of Crota? We all know Bungie's loves the grind so perhaps they could let the new infusion drop come at the completion of the hard raid, after reaching level 5 in IB and if you reach the lighthouse. The best drops have always been at the end of raids or trials so why change now?
-
Sounds good, but we all know Bungie has no interest in reducing the grind, only extending it.. And if by some strange miracle they did do something like this, you can bet it would be Trials lighthouse drop or some other PVP based thing.. Because that's all they care about now.. Pushing people to play their pathetic excuse for PVP

Definitely deserve a bump

I'd like it

Depends on how often they'll drop, from where they'll drop, and how many will drop at once. I do like this idea though. Bump
