Your permissions to access online multiplayer may have changed error

I keep getting this error. I can choose my character from the title screen, then this error shows up. This is the first time this happened to me. What should I do? Anybody help?

  • Banned? Or is the banned message more obvious?

  • This happens to me all the time. Its caused by poor PSN/Live signal causing you to time out signing in to the Destiny Servers. If you go to Test Connection in your console settings you can see how long it takes to connect to PSN/Live to see if that might be the issue. Waiting usually fixes it, you can keep trying a couple times then give it maybe an hour and try again. Sometimes when PSN is really busy I cant sign in that day. Checking DownDetector PSN or Destiny pages can help. After moving recently I started to realize PSN signal strength is affected by where you live as well as your connection.

  • Update: Still no change after 18 hours. Bungie's "guidelines" have not helped at all.

    • I have gotten this, basically I just had to wait for a few hours and it started working again. In my experience it was a wifi problem, but it's possible someone could've signed into your account.

Sign out of your profile, exit the game, put the Xbox in standby mode, then disconnect the power cable. Wait 30 seconds, then reboot. Should fix the issue. You may have to change the NAT type as well if it persist. A hard reset of the console usually does the trick. I've gotten the message before. If none of this helps and you receive the same messages, more than likely there is a server issue. You may have to wait it out.

              • I have the same issue, I tried to changed password, restored license, change parental restrictions, ps4 & router reset, change TMU settings but still can't login. My psn subscription is about to expire this coming 20th November.

                • Okay listen carefully, first you have to remove the disk.... Now on the southern side of the disk there is a pin....wait make sure you have immediate access to the outside... Now this is very important... Now pull the pin and quickly toss the disc outside as far as possible and duck for cover.... Your welcome.
