I can't understand this; fellow players well run around all day with a sniper rifle and and shotgun. But will barely use their primary. Okay cool. But when it comes to special weapons. My dearest people won't ever pick up a fusion rifle or a side arm...
Here's my issue with that.
A. A fusion rifle gives you close to mid range one squeeze kill. But it's all about the timing. But let me guess. You'd rather squeeze and immediately get the kill. Hm. Right.
B. If you're all about your primary. Your sidearm can save your ASS. Like let's say you're creaming enemy team and you run out of ammo. And dudes health barely moved. What are you gonna do. Hope you can get the melee. Or whip out a trusty sidearm and melt him?
Answer seems pretty logical. There's so many different ways to play yet everyone I've encountered does the same thing. Run. Blam shotgun. Reload.
I mean. What do you guys think?
Edit: Check out my most recent post. It involves the community so it'd be good to have some of you guys on that as well. Also if you're on XBOX ONE. My GT is Nomad XXIV ;; Shoot me a friend request! Ill be getting a PS4 soon so no worries my lovelies lol
Edit: 2 | Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher or a Sword? Why?
Edit 3: Fastest Charge Fusion rifle? I'm running Midhas from the raid and it gets the job done. But stil need another. Preferably Solar.

2 RepliesHonostly, I love fusion rifles right now. I 1v3 a team in Trials with my Midha's. 3 people all with snipers got ran over by the high impact fusion. And my elevating vision from said trials is amazing! Hot Swap is awesome on a Fusion Rifle :) Learn to precharge your weapon, and predict enemy movement, and the Fusion Rifle can really give your opponents hell.

For me a shotgun is for those oh shit moments when you -blam!- up bad and need saving at close quarters
-
They're comfy

The Trolley Problem I had had the most impact I'd ever seen and the best stability IMO. It was perfect.

2 RepliesCheck the fusion on my lock ;)

1 ReplyEdited by Ark: 11/10/2015 11:23:41 PMWhen the game was in vanilla I used Fusion Rifles a lot, mainly because I could not get a Suros and I was using a green auto in PvP for far too long. The problem I have is that I can't kill 2-3 people in the same timeframe with a fusion as I can with a shotty or sniper. Also sometimes I swear I hit a person and they don't take damage, or I have my gun firing and I die a split second earlier because of a shotty and my bullets don't come out in time to trade. I did go through trials to LH doing Messenger and Plan C in HoW but it was for shits and giggles.

Do people seriously run out of primary? Pick up an ammo crate or kill some people and you get primary.

16 RepliesYou should have seen the 77 Wizard from vanilla or Plug. One from TDB. 77 charged within a second and Plug would map you from sniper range. They made fusion rifles obsolete compared to what they used to be with the widened cone blast. Fusion rifles used to be dominant before the expansions came out.

The sniper gives you the fastest and trustiest kill potential at any range. Sidearms are nice for CQC but the best players can run and gun with a sniper.
-
you can use your sidearm logic with any secondary lol however, i agree about fusion rifles..you'd be surprised how easy 1v3s in trials are as 2 people chase you and one guards the bodies, you KNOW they're sprinting after you...you KNOW they're about to *charges up fusion rifle* come around the corner and you KNOW you just got a kill lol
-
Pretty simple actually. Snipers and shotties are much more fun to use. (Although sidearms are hellafun if you're good with them.)
-
Cause if you miss they take to long to charge
-
Im starting to use my fusion rifles more. I finally have decent roles on a few and if you know how to use them they are ridiculous
-
I only use sidearms and sometimes fusions...... They very rarely work for me buy I persist with them anyway

Long far gone ?

Edited by OwlRNothing: 11/10/2015 6:32:46 PMWhat do you care what other people use? Oh sorry, I see you're a genius. My bad.

The raid fusion rifle is soooooo bad. The stability on that thing is laughably bad. Also, I'm pretty sure you can't roll raid weapons with different elements. The olmolon fusions are where it's at. The gunsmith one that came with rangefinder and braced frame is like a fusion sniper.
-
Maybe, just maybe you should be asking yourself the same question seen as your favourite weapon on all 3 of your characters is a SHOTGUN. Come back to the rest of us when you figured it out.

4 RepliesFrom one fusion rifle user to another, there's occasionally an omolon fusion rifle called the Thesan FR4 sold by the gunsmith, keep an eye out for it.
it's the perfect fusion rifle
I just love that sound from a headshot sniper kill.
-
Ive never liked fusion rifles, used to do the bounty getting mukti kills with a fusion rifle and now i -blam!-ing hate the things
-
Been going flawless with fusion rifles 3 times a weeks since Trials came out, i clutch 1v3 at least every other game with them.....i seriously don't know why people avoid them.
-
They are by far my 2 least favorite class of weapons, followed by pulse rifles. I don't like them, they don't feel fun.

I'd like a sidearm with hot swap and feeding frenzy
