Why does everyone keep saying it?
"Bladedancer was nerfed so bad, no one uses it!"
Besides Grenades and Blink being nerfed(which also affected warlocks) the super itself has never been nerfed. Ever.
If anyone can find me patch notes that have proof that the Bladedancer super was nerfed then please do so.
Oh, and don't give me that "Secret Nerf" bullshit. I wanna see concrete proof.
Edit; My point is that Arcblade never received an "armor nerf" or "health nerf". There are absolutely no patch notes or articles that state it.
Edit 2: https://youtu.be/J8C6zq617oM a video detailing Arcblade year one and year two! Credit goes to Eugeine. Please bring this to light. The 2.0 update has messed around with the Arcblade in general. That isn't fair and should be fixed as soon as possible.

- Super runs out faster - Damage Reduction by about ~ 10%
-
There is no concrete proof more than "ooo ooo I am totally nerfed! Nerf hammers too!!" It was a Super Secret Nerf that only ninjas and these forum members knew about... BAM! Science...

3 RepliesI went flawless yesterday with my hunter in trials using bladedancer the whole time. Wrecked teams and stood toe to toe with a few sunbreakers. Nerf? I think people are just looking for something else to come up with more excuses for their losses.

8 RepliesIt was nerfed. Now it lasts for next to no time. No whenever one of your blades actually hits someone, it drains a significant portion of super energy. Damage resistance used to be higher (about the same as a hammer of sol) but was reduced. Blink nerf and heavy arc bolt nerf reduced the effectiveness of the class. Titans getting hammer of sol and warlocks getting Stormtrance also essentially nerfed arc blade as both those classes have superior supers
-
1 ReplySorry but it wasn't in any patch notes. Any day one player who used a hunter extensively can tell you that in vanilla you ran encore, cause you didn't need hungering blade. Sometime around TDB launch they got their armor nerfed and suddenly you couldn't run into a room of 5 Guardians and mop the floor with them unless you had the Regen on, and even then maybe not.
-
The super was never good. No one uses it anymore because HoS is that exact same thing but with more range, and arcbolt got hit hard
-
The health was decreased. That's what it feels like... it still has a lot of bugs with it. It makes bladedancer annoying to use sometimes. :/

12 RepliesYou keep asking and demanding for some definitive proof of something that can't be provided without personal experience. I hate to be that guy but you will never understand where the claims come from because you haven't played long enough to notice any difference Arc blade used to be more durable then it is now. This is a fact that just can't be proven unless you played the class yourself in the early months. I did play back then and can safely say killing a blade dancer with a shotgun melee combo was never successful, but after a certain patch (not going to even try to figure out which) you could pretty much kill em or trade with em anytime you saw them coming It's just experience. You don't have enough so all I can say is stop trying to dig on it. You won't understand because you weren't playing the class back then. End of topic.

2 RepliesIt was never nerfed because IT DIDN'T NEED A NERF GOD DAMMIT. It's literally the same thing as Stormtrance and Hammer of Sol. Except Hammer of Sol has much more range and doesn't require any skill.
-
1 ReplyThink after Beta it got some adjustments... LOL, but they use this to say how it was nerfed.
-
If you honestly don't believe that AB was nerfed, then you need to reevaluate your perceptions.
-
1 ReplyI remember melee was at least 7 feet to 10 during it reign. Just hop over someone could be looking at him or not you were hitting. Now warlocks have more rAnge. During super it use to not take so much when attacking you can only get maybe 2 unless they are crowded close back then it was kinda easy to take the whole team down. Ive used blade from the start i know what im talking about you can feel the difference.

Razor edge was nerfed before release...... : <
-
The grenades are crap now. Other than that no.

Don't know if it was, don't really care if it was. All I know is that everyone that calls for a nerf on any Subclass is crazy. Each Subclass has its perks and are useful in their own special way. Blade Dancer: invisibility (saved my ass a few times), Gunslinger: one hit KO on three enemies, Nightstalker: the suppressing tether, Voidwalker: Nova Bomb is badass, Sunsinger: self-rez (also saved my ass a few times), Stormcaller: not really sure (haven't played with enough people to see its effectiveness yet), Striker: one hit KO on a group of enemies (if they are close enough), Defender: protective bubble with the ability to grant extra armor or weapon damage (and blind enemies of the users has Helm of Saint-14 equipped), and lastly, Sunbreaker: flaming freaking hammers that can one hit KO some enemies or reduce large portions of bigger enemies.

He's got a point guys.

5 RepliesAll I know is that ever since the latest update, blink strike and arc blade itself are useless now. I have tons upon tons of clips of me hitting people, 4,5,6 times and they won't die for some ungodly reason. I dont know if it is a glitch or what, but bladedancer is useless until it is addressed.
-
The lunge on the blade is terrible, I only run arc blade of QuickDraw and skip nades
-
2 RepliesTheir armour was dropped during super
-
I also looked all over the notes as well. Never found it. People make all of these numbers up without proof.
-
1 ReplyTaken directly from the 2.0.0 update! BOOM!! Arc Blade can now generate up to 6 Orbs when geared with exotic armor that increase orb spawning rates. difinitive proof that arc blade has been touched. Seriously though, can't find anything other than this.
-
3 RepliesThe main thing I didn't like was the grenade nerf and how razors edge no longer travels inside titan bubbles
-
8 RepliesEdited by Powerath: 11/8/2015 10:45:18 PMSo you're saying Bungie has never implemented something that wasn't in the patch notes? Arc Blade's accuracy was nerfed quite noticeably. I don't expect you to notice that though. (Sunbreaker titan as profile picture) Quick Draw was also nerfed. Weapons aren't ready immediately anymore. Noticed that when I used my fusion rifle after the 2.0 update.
