So, if it feels like work, don't play. I play 3-5 hours a day (more on my day off) because it's my RECREATION. This is FUN for me. I'm here to kill alien monsters with cool guns, freaking magic swords, and super powers! That I get better guns and swords as my reward- COOL!
YOU are the one who set your goal as maxing out your level and getting all the raid gear in 7 weeks. If you had done it, this would be a thread about how you're quitting because there's nothing left to do in Destiny.
I feel sorry for the Dev Team. They're really in a no-win scenario. Give the players rapid reward drops, and it's over too soon. Give what they perceive as too little, and they get posts like this.
FOR THE RECORD: I think this has been a great year, and I'm going to log back in after lunch to work on my exotic sword bounties. Killing things with swords and space magic. What can be better?

You're wrong. I didn't set my goal to max level in 7 weeks. My goal was to have fun yet all the things that were actually fun or just borderline have been morphed into unbearable micro grinds across every possible method of progression. The rewards are no longer worth the effort. The game can still be fun, but mostly on old raids and new strikes. The new raid has its moments but is too sensitive to a single mistake to wipe. The drops are way too random to have such low drop rates. The grind makes the game not fun.

Listen, I went through entire VoG and Crota raids, just like you, getting nothing but shards and energy, and watching swords disappear, watching Crota stand up instantly, watching relics disappear. I fell through the floor of the airlock in the Prison of Elders once while we were waiting for the door to open. This raid (though I've only done it once all the way through and killed Oryx twice) seems the LEAST sensitive to mistakes. I say this because I, as the rookie, made a ton of them, and yet my team recovered every time and still downed Oryx without an issue. You seem to have forgotten how bitterly the forum was complaining about every single element of both raids at this time in their lives as well. The rewards are there, but you won't get them all inside of 2 months, nor 3, maybe not even 4. You're right, it's a grind to get rewards. But it always has been. Having fun playing the game on the way is the point.

Bugs and mistakes are definitely different. Did the old raid bugs piss me off? Of course. But if a non relic fireteam member screwed up you had much much more wiggle room than now. You keep on acting so defensive. I'm just having a conversation here. It's almost suspicious how you're acting to a civil thread (rare these days I know)

It's almost funny how you think I'm being defensive, and I have no idea what you find "suspicious". I'm just pointing out that the raid is, if anything, better than Crota and as good as VoG[i] in my opinion[/i]; and the game seems LESS of a grind to me, since there are exotic quests with definite goals at the end of them; we're not 100% at the mercy of RNG. Some of those quests are a pain in the tucus (cf Chaperone, First Curse), but no worse than the Thorn bounty. And once you complete an exotic quest, you can buy blueprints of that exotic to your heart's content if you want more of them. That's a considerable lessening of the grind in my book. We [i]are[/i] just conversing here. Obviously, we disagree about several things. That doesn't mean we're not being civil.

Nah i dont feel sorry for none of them at all the grind is real in this game. DLC is just going to consist of constant farming and new currency that eliminates the previous one. As they expcect you to just throw mony at the screen towards whatever they pullout. If thus continues im out as well feels like a second job. (I have another account just incase people say i dont know the grind)

It makes me think back to when ttk actually dropped and people were complaining that they were lvl 40 within a hour. They intentionally saved bounties for this to happen though......

Because IIRC there's not another major expansion due anytime soon, we'll be getting minor content buffs all year, one or two a month, new exotic bounties and so on. I don't know where I read this or if it's just my evaluation of what's going on.
