Is EVERY ONE SERIOUSLY OK WITH THIS.
When TTK was advertised, there were 18 exotics that people were really excited about. We only have access to about half. I'm talking about the Twilight garrison, Ophidian Aspect, Shinobu's Vow, Thagomizers, Astrocyte, etc. The TTK has been out for over a month now. Right now, there is almost no point to decrypting exotic chest pieces cause 9/10 you'll get Crest for titan or hunter. It's ridiculous. All I'm saying, if anything at all is, I want to be able to have a chance to get what I paid for. Simple as that. Even the Sleeper, I missed the day the mission came out because I couldn't get on that day and it hasn't shown ever since. Cmon guys, you can't seriously be ok with this. If any of you bought Halo or fallout or assassin's creed, would you be ok if they took out content that was heavily advertised and lead you to buy it? No. You wouldnt. So why is it ok when bungie does it? I believe we can change this if we collectively agree on this and push for it. The community can do this. Vote Yes, For stuff you payed for.
On a side note at the very least I was hoping that those exotics would be obtainable for going flawless and getting that chest in the lighthouse but was disappointed to find out that's not the case when I went flawless tonight.
Edit: Some people seem to think I want bungie to just hand us the exotics. No. I don't. I'm just saying they should be, and I quote, "obtainable".Through various means.
Edit 2: this topic has brought up another major topic, and that's the issue with transparency. Or rather, a lack of in Bungies case. There's a lot of thing regarding the game that people think they should be able to get but can't and it cases a lot of mistrust between the gamer and the developer. And it also results in a very divided community. Someone posted something about this and I thought he/she hit the nail on the head with that one.
Edit 3: I see a few of data mind arguments trying to be made and figured I should just end it right now.

1: @ :34 you see the Astrocyte Verse helm on the warlock nova bombing the cabal strike boss
2: @ :43 you see the Tarentella Exotic chest for the hunter when he's picking up a void bow
Both of these are clearly not datamined if they're showing it in a official GAMEPLAY trailer.
Edit 4: Also when it comes to content that randomly shows up, like the black spindle mission and Sleeper, there should at least be a timer on the website or app so will know when is available to get instead of waiting blindly for the chance to get it again. # still waiting for Sleeper mission

1 ReplyI think time locks are better in a way. Think about it, with a time lock you know at some point you will almost certainly get the exotic you want. But with RNG you could be waiting months to get lucky, just like so many last year with Gjallarhorn for example.

The least they could do is make the quests available. I dont care how difficult they are as long as they are there to do. But since we don't have them you're right, they are holding back promised content.

Even though I watched pretty much everything to do with ttk before it came out, I didn't even know about these exotics so yeah I'm ok...

Pretty sure people would rage if exotics were tied to the lighthouse. But yes, I just want the rest of the exotics already. They're in the armory so they should be in the game.

1 ReplyI'm ok with the time gating. Given that so many of the time gated exotics are linked to relatively easy quests, if everything was available already, we'd be done with the game by now. They did advertise "more exotics" than in vanilla. So I can understand the frustration of having [i]less[/i] exotics currently. However, many of the exotics we think we deserve were never advertised, they were data mined and never explicitly stated to be in the game. I originally assumed that we would be seeing a lot more content unlock as time went by and I'm starting to feel like I overestimated. That said, I do hope we get some announcement of expansions soon as the current lot is feeling a little smaller that I'd hoped. Regardless, TTK has been so much more than I'd anticipated so far, so I'm content for now.

Be patient, they've decided to try out timegating and although they've gone a little overboard with it it's still a hell of a lot better than HOW and having everything new in two weeks.

I been mentioning this for weeks.. Its annoying as hell. . To spend the amount of no life hours on this game. To not get these items or even get a reply from bungie saying wtf is going on with these items. Its putting salt all over the game. its year two and all we got was 3 new exotics per character? All the others are year one.. some bullshit. I hate bungie community team. The interaction with the community is zero. it has been sense day one. I don't even know what these people's jobs are or how they even get paid if they do absolutely nothing around here. Thanks for the response bungie.. . . . . .. game companys that advertise stuff like this, but never release it in the game should have a law suit like no other. blizzard is another bullshit company that false advertises.

Ive just stopped playing the game entirely. Halo and metal gear solid have much more going on, in every category. Cant wait for fallout.

It's a [i]game[/i]. There is no need to have everything immediately. Play the game, do the raids and when the weapons/armour/etc is revealed then go get that. This [i]game[/i] is no fun if you're a try-hard, pooping on everyone's fun
