If you haven't beaten oryx on hard mode yet...
You probably have a job, family and social commitments. Well done on prioritising and putting more important things first!

Edit: so I just found out I have scrubitis, I have been diagnosed by the destiny doctors here. I'm booked into a git gud centre, hopefully I can pull through this.

1 ReplyEdited by chickengoujohn93: 11/1/2015 10:56:41 AMPlayed up to Oryx and left after a while. - Higher Light gear I already earned... meh - Got the Sniper and Heavy MG at 319 and 318 in one run, the only Raid weapons which are actually worth keeping and using. - No Elemental Primaries. - Touch of Malice not being Hard Mode exclusive. - Don't need the Raid to get Exotics like the VoG or Crota's End days Absolutely no incentive unless you want to get higher light to run it continuously until the next expansion. Just casually waiting for Fallout 4. And this is coming from a guy who completed everything Destiny had to offer for the past year.

I have a job.. I missed sleeper stimulant traveling for work HM and ToO were designed to keep the strimmers and try hards happy. It's cool. I play a couple times a week with my clan. HM is out of reach for me at 303 (no exotic sword level). Would be great if NM would drop better loot and the "loot algorithm" bungie touted actually worked.

I don't have a job, I just got ttk last week so A: haven't had a lot of time to play with school B: I have a life outside of destiny and school. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I'm booked. And 3: I can't get the right gear to get my level even high enough to run the normal raid!

1 ReplyI have a job, this week was actually the longest work week for me in a while. Averaged 12 hours a day and was exhausted by Friday. Not to mention I come home to a 6 month who can't stay still. That being said I beat hard mode on Friday then again on Saturday with my 2nd character. Explain how I don't prioritize my life. Because I my paycheck is going to look lovely and my kid is well fed

Mainly because I can't find a competent group for oryx surprisingly, and I'm 311 with most raid requirements (high impact sniper, ToM, Black Spindle, all 310+). It's either a group with like 3 305s and nobody has any clue to what they are really doing, and we spend 45 minutes and still don't even get through one cycle, or I add the "310+ only" people and never get accepted, though I meet every requirement. And it's surprising because it's <1 minute from them posting saying "need 5", yet nothing. Sent probably 20 friend requests and have had maybe 1 or 2 accept, and they didn't work out. I guess you either just get your bros together and get it done, which only 1 of my friends is even able to do it, or struggle through forums to inevitably spend 6+ hours to get it done, and still may not. Never had any trouble getting any PvE event done until this, seems the Knights just mess everybody up or something.

4 RepliesHaha this post is very true Makes me laugh looking at the recruitment posts of all these "elitist's" and teams I joined the other day full of teenagers all going on about how they have beat it repeatedly and called me a noob because I haven't killed him yet... Like seriously kid? Wait till you move out of your mums house.. If you ever do Get a job Have bills to pay Then see how much time you have to play your precious games when life hits you...

I haven't event tried it on normal mode yet. I have a job with frequent overtime, a wife, kids, been doing work to the house.....but I'm still having fun on both fronts so.....

1 ReplyPlayed upto sisters last night with a +310 team that kindly let me join at 308. Some of them were horrible and I out dps'd 4/5 of them at golg with a 307 stare. 310 plus is stupid. Give people a chance, good players have shit to do also (not that I'm one) and can't pound the light levels out like others.
