The only purpose of this right now is to let you move in a certain direction a bit faster and that doesn't really matter when you're getting shot at. On top of that, it has a cooldown. If there are no invincible frames then why even give it a cooldown to begin with?

2 RepliesIf anything, they need to nerf it not buff it
-
That would make it equivalent to blink pre-nerf, which is what we want to avoid (I'm a nightstalker hunter). I do agree that it needs buffed thougj. Maybe increase the speed or length of it, maybe both.
-
It already glitches and doesn't take full damage. Many times I've gotten hit markers with the final (bonus damage) round in my invective and not killed them.
-
I think there is a very good reason why the added shadestep, swords, and bosses without one hit melees interesting....
-
Because that would be overpowered. It still throws people off and can get you around corners faster, is that not enough? I think so
-
3 RepliesThis isnt dark souls i dont wanna see someone roll away everytime they miss a sword swing
-
Because people would abuse it
-
1 ReplyShots don't register in shadestep (I beleive) I survived a chop from that bastard allakhul using shadestep.
-
Because shadestep is for dodging bullets and grenades, not tanking them.
-
A Nightstalker survived one of my hammers by shadestepping...
-
No then it will be blink 2.0
-
I'm still pissed that they won't -blam!-ing fix blink still....I'm still getting blink/shotgunned nonstop and that shit gets annoying fast especially they said they fixed that...also the range bs is another lie I still get hit from retarded range but ohwell

6 RepliesWhen used, all AI targeting ignores you, any tracking attacks will stop following you, and you get rapid movement. That's absolutely wonderful. You should also realize that any sort of Invincibilty frames in PVP would be abused to no end. People dodging GG bullets, shotgun rushing, dodging HoS, Arc Blade wave attacks, and all sorts of nonsense.
-
That would allow them to survive supers, rockets, sticky nades, and more. It would be heavily abused.

Take Overwatch for instance, the character Zenyatta can make himself invulnerable and it is incredibly clear when he is doing so. In this case, and if I recall blink is included, it's not incredibly obvious that this is happening. Sure you can learn that over time, but the fact that the moves are so quick and let alone hitting them to see it it'll take a bit to learn. I don't think it works, or would work. --------Besides you are moving so quickly and if someone can still hit you they should win honestly. Skill should always be rewarded. Cooldown is another part of it but I think we understand that much.
-
Sure, as long as I get another hammer throw. No fair if you can dodge my super completely. I need another chance to kill you.

1 Replyikr, even though ur physical being dissipates into smoke. i was once melee attacked by a guy facing forward, and i was behind him.... it needs a speed increase, not invincibility. id just roll everywhere with invincibility.
-
Yeah, invincibility frames is waaaay too much, and I love Shadestep as it is. I'm cool with a speed increase, but not much is really needed.
-
It would be way too easy to avoid supers and rockets, so no.
-
2 RepliesJust make it faster

Shadestep and smoke bombs in trials. My life was complete. I can't convey the difficulty I had running trials on my titan today...

4 RepliesEdited by Ghostfire239: 11/1/2015 5:37:11 PMThat isn't a good idea because it would simply be used as a crutch and we would have the whole shadestep shotgun thing going on and because people will start bitching about how it's SO OP and shit like that. Besides when you pull off a nice shadestep kill you feel good about it, knowing that it was YOUR skill that killed the enemy not some crutch.
-
So you can't spam roll into a person's face with invective. This is a shit idea. It would destroy pvp again. It already is crazy good in cqc leave it be.
-
-Is a Warlock -Doesn't much care for Hunters -Is in full support of this idea! I imagine if it was like a minor blink style effect with a minor cooldown (not something excessive but like a 2 sec refreshing period so it isn't overly spammable) then this would be a fine addition to Nightstalker :D
