They are useless in PvE, I agree. They absolutely need to have the ability to deal precision hits. PvP As for PvP, I have a few possible sllutions. One fix is that they get more range rather than damage. Any fusion should be able to down an enemy in one burst at, say stormcaller range at least. I know for a fact that fast charge/low impact fusions are only good for dismantling and getting marks, since they technically nerfed fusions with 2.0 and those types were garbage before 2.0. Another solution could be to have the sights options be changed to affect burst speed and impact. You know focused fire? Imagine that on a fusion rifle. One downside of this fix, though, could be that they might have to redesign the whole damage output system for fusions. And lastly, the most likely thing to happen, a shotgun nerf. The community has shown that removing shot package made no difference to the killing power of high impact, high range shotguns. I could definitely see Bungie reducing pellet count for shotguns at some point (hopefully only for crucible).

  • Other than bosses, I disagree about useless in PvE... PvP, not sure what you've used that you don't OHK people at Stormtrance range either. The key is just to have one with pretty high stability. As with any weapon class, poor rolls can make something feel like crap. A Split Shifter with high stability can OHK outside of shotgun range, and my Susanoo (equipped on Warlock) can OHK from a pretty good distance once you learn to aim the spread.

  • I meant bosses, yes. I've had a good time using my god roll Theaan FR4. My split shifter was never consistent enough for me, which is why I think the lower impact ones are kind of bad.

  • That is basically identical to my Susanoo except having Rangefinder ftw. Very nice.

Before I got my fragments for the touch I would use the raid fusion in the oryx fight practically as my primary. It melts the ogres and does pretty sweet damage to oryx aswell. And now even that I have my touch when the ogres come I swap to my fusion when I need to regen some health.

  • The last good PVE fusion was plan c. You should try it. It is practically a sniper and can take out legendaries at sniper range.

  • They need an increase to velocity and decreased charge time. Or add shot package to fusions lol
