There's plenty of groups only requiring 305+ for the raid the 310+ is for oryx which is understandable stop complaining about not being able to join a group that is 310+ and join one of the others. People just complain cause they can't join the higher groups there is plenty of lower groups out there.

my team beat it and yes we were all 308+ to start with 310 black spindals and touch of malisk we were all ready for hard mode after hours of grinding, were you? we did it with one 308 with us because she never got the drops and we still beat it, its a hard mode raid, an surprise surprise like the name suggests its HARD if your team isnt serious and organised you want do it simple. those who were serious about doing it grinded for there gear to get to 308+ with all 310 guns by farming with tree of coins after getting above 300 from the normal raid, bungie have done really well with the way they set the raids up any one can play normal if your above 290 and you can get to 290+ from blues and that means every one can join in and play when they get high enough all you have to do is have friends and team work not take it to serious because your first few raids your going to die lots and wipe lots theres strategy videos that make it all easy to follow the rest comes down to player skill and practice, the groups that set high standeds are the ones that will get the raid done first the ones that sit here moaning after one day wont get any were because there not trying hard enough. ps sorry for any spelling mistakes i am dyslexic lol wish you all the best with the raid hope you get them 320 drops even know i didnt, the rest of the raid is fairly easy its just oyrx that is difficult word of advise middle ma needs to talk to the back alot because there orgas are the worst because of the knight spawns. good luck

And i can attest if you are not extremely skilled you will likely need full teams of 310 to kill oryx... so naturally without knowing skill level you would pick the guy with higher gear right?

This is always going to be this way. Just like people can always make their own group. Usually I don't care if they are just a few light off but after you start spending 2 hours on an encounter that should be completed in 30 min you have to do something. People will make post saying how they die less than their higher level team mates but that is only half the fight. It doesn't matter if you are not dealing enough damage to kill the boss.

I'm 308 before attempting so I don't think that'll be hard with a few drops; however, people who ask for that show they aren't very good at the game because they need the crutch.

This is always how it works. When it releases everyone who is high enough will want to actually beat it. If you're that low you should still be working on normal and getting yourself actually prepared to to hard mode... Unless you want to be dead weight and ruins the groups chance of success. It's just how it works. Once everyone is higher there will be plenty of Sherpas to help others out. I haven't beat HM Oryx yet. Our group got very close several times, but the lowest person, at 310 died several times. Plus there was lag. It's hard to stay alive at times even when you're the preferred level.

Some people feel entitled by that higher light level, like they had to do anything more than get lucky to get there. But not every guardian on LFG is a total prick. Everytime ive cleared the raid its been lfg, and there has always been at least one person that has never done it before. Not everybody can play the game as much as they wish.

2 RepliesMy group made it to oryx in hard mode in just over an hour, but most of us were 310 or less. Even at 310 the enemies' lvls are orange and we just couldn't get the dps down if one of us got ko'ed. So we backed out and ran the raid to oryx on all three guardians to get gear so we could get at least 311, which helped. It's not just people being mean all the time, the red healthed centurion's axion dart almost kills you at 311, so I imagine a sub 310 might get on shot by those. The additional light eater knights require extra coordination and damage. In my group I used a 316 raze lighter and hunter them so the group could always stagger oryx and be ready for bombs. Most people will just need to be 310 to survive. It's how it is.

My clan will. They actually love playing this game. Never in a hurry. Laugh at each other when we mess up. I think that's what good friends do for one another

You should be 311+ at Oryx. You can do the rest at 300-310. Most of the LFG people are trying to knock out the raid in less than 90 minutes, they are [i]grinding[/i] for 320, they aren't interested in being Sherpas or spending 4 hours trying to clear the content. Stay away from those threads. Start your own group, join a clan, look for threads that require 305 and are trying to get through Warpriest or Golgoroth. After a few partial runs, you should be at 311+ and ready for oryx. I know it's not easy, I was pushed back into LFG land for a while when my clan was short people due to IRL obligations. I also played this game solo/LFG through February. So I get it, I really do. Finding a group that's not trying to finish hard mode or finding a Sherpa can be time consuming, but they are out there.

Do what i do... Start your own raid team! Your team your rules! I personally take 305+ right now Only got to warpriest last night before destiny servers ended my fun though. Im pretty sure we could have done him and we had 301-307

How about u start the raid from the beginning and not skip right to oryx and try to get carried lol seriously all you guys complaining about the lfg requirements never even attempt to make your own group....

2 RepliesI'm not even sure I'll finish oryx off. I had no issues with getting up to oryx as a 307 Titan. Then, 6 hours later, 4 groups later, no oryx kills. I guess I'll do everything up to hard mode oryx, and then killing oryx on normal until I get lucky enough to be 315+ on one of my chars to do it.

310 is necessary for hard mode. I'm a pretty good player. We only had one player at 311 & we did not have the DPS to kill the ogres, light eaters, & Vessel efficiently all within the time it took for oryx to slam his hand down. Then stagger him, which we couldn't do with all 6 of us, then get to our lights if they hadn't been eaten already... The damage just wasn't there. we all had raid gear or 310 snipers. Actually 315-320 snipers some of us. For normal that's ridiculous. But for hard mode, I totally see it. We flew through the entire hard mode. The issue, was light levels at oryx. No doubt about it whatsoever.

I'm willing to run with a minimum of 290 but must have completed at least once and communicate to many groups I've tried with golg to no avail because no one is communicating. Communication is key in this raid because of the mechanics

Having experienced hard mode oryx myself to no success, 310 is a reasonable requirement for oryx. The enemies are tougher. They take less damage and deal out more damage combined with there being new enemies not in the normal mode encounter. Certainly doable at slightly less than 310, but quite a bit harder
