9 RepliesYou must consider that fact that oryx and all his little minions are level 42 and all have 320 light. Anybody lower than 310 wouldn't be able to do enough damage.

OP needs to clarify if he means HM or not.

Oryx is Light level 320 on HM. To put that into perspective, a light 310 guardian is about the equivalent of a 290 in Normal. You really need to be 310 to do the fight without being stuck on it for hours. Especially when doing it with LFG teams

I was asked by someone who was 310 to kill the daughters in Hard Mode. I was only 303 light. Fully thing is that nobody was over 310 it was between 301 - 310. We didn't accomplish it but that's because of a couple people failing. We had one daughter dead and another at a sliver of health but our relic runner didn't know what the jump button was apparently so he didn't grab her shield. UGH!

4 RepliesI got to 312 today so I decided to help people out on normal raid. 3 were 305 and two were 299. I was the only person surviving every time on the war priest. I can see why people post 310+

Got to 311 and 310 without fully clearing the raid, 2nd run took a 303 light who knew what he did. Went perfect up until oryx. Just can't get the steps of oryx right trough the whole team without a death in first rotation. I think a minimum of 300 is good up until sisters, but by than you should be about 305-308 with the drops

Just run to daughters. Everything up until then is under 310. No rush on killing oryx

The hard mode scales up in light level as you progress. The loot doesbt. The loot will drop at the same random level between 310-320 Just play normal mode until you get to roughly 305-307, learn the fights on hard mode, and then go into hard mode and play as far as you can get. At 305 you should have no issue completing the raid up to oryx. The daughters might be a little tough, but up to that point you have totums chest, warpreist, golgoroth, and exotic chest in the jump to get get what will most likely get you some where near or over 310 if you lucky. If groups are seriously only looking for 310+ for the oryx fight thats up to them. Me and my clan ran through hard mode last night and we all increased at least 2-3 light levels and with only 2 people 310ish we where having issues as a whole serviving to do damage to oryx. So instead of whinning about it we all just are going to run alts as far as we can for rewards to move over to the mains. If we can increase the light levels another 2-3 points and all of us be at that over 310 mark then the fight becomes that much quicker. Beating hard mode is beating hard mode. It doesnt matter if you failed to complete it for 10 straigh hours before that or you beat it on your first try. You just gear up the best you can and try your best.

If you do the first parts on your other characters chances are really high you get got drops which will get you to 310+

Pretty sad. Can't find other 310s right now. The 310+ aren't very nice people to play with. Just wait until there are 314s to carry.

Yep.... Here we go again. In all truth you can't blame SOME, it's the Prats who have been carried all the time and have been RNG blessed that rankle me, they put high light level requirements to make it easier for themselves. The game is a bit haphazard at the moment, partially done kf three times recently with my alts, on the bounce up to sisters and received shards only.
