Every raid I do someone complains. I didn't get this or the number roll is low. I'm sick of it

  • Are you sick of the complaining or players leaving the raid feeling disappointed?

  • Both are truly a bummer. The unrewarding raid grind combined with people bitching. Double whammy. No one is happy

  • it's because they literally doubled the rng. Hey, we heard you liked rng. So here's some more rng ontop of your rng so you can rng your rng. Like you do the raid. FINALLY see an item drop - shit roll. That shouldn't exist, period. Look, I don't want everything in one go. Hell no. I like grinding the raid and I like it to take a couple months. But here's the thing: Doing a raid that takes anywhere from 1 - 4+ hours depending on team etc, and to leave the raid SEEING A DROP, but having it roll worse than your non-raid gear, is bullocks and should never happen. Ever. Why is the raid there if not for the most powerful gear? Having raid gear roll between 300-310 after you're already lucky enough to see a drop period, is absurd. It is not longevity, it is the illusion of it. Bottom line is the moment you see a raid item, you should get overwhelmed with excitement, knowing that that item that just dropped is a BiS for one of your TEN slots. You know, like it has been in every raid before this one. The fact you could literally get unlucky and have 310 everything but helmet, and you could see 10 helmets drop and still not be ahead - is ludicrous.

  • Everyone in the raid team is getting screwed over and there's always someone bitching. You're not the only one getting crap drops. Does anyone like hearing people moan to the whambulance?

  • first of all I don't moan or complain when I get shit drops on the mic. I am just expressing it here. Second of all I'm not saying my case is special, I know it's happening to everyone. I just wanted to describe WHY people bitch and WHY the system is stupid.

  • Wasn't trying to imply you do, my bad. It was a guy in my raid fire team last night. And I agree with you that the rng is very crappy

  • You're right, but it still kills the raid team atmosphere when people complain. I understand why and it's justified, but it's still annoying.

yeah it is, I hear ya. It's just kinda stupid how it works. Case and point: I play with 2 RL friends. We do everything together in the game. I have played for 550 hours My one buddy has played for 550 hours the other has played for half that time, 250 hours. Last week in the raid, one of us got a 310 ghost shell, the others got jack shit all. Guess which one got the roll? That's why it's frustrating. Games used to reward time/effort spent, and now they don't. Why bother playing for 550 hours when you can play for half the time and be further ahead? That's the part that drives me wild. See, it used to be with the previous raids, the more time you spent the more geared you would be (because despite the rng on the item actually dropping, once it did you were set. The more time you have to raid = the more chances at drops = further ahead). Now, none of that matters because one person could get a drop 10 times at 305, and one could get it once at 310, and the latter could be further ahead with a perfect roll, much like my example above. I think that concept is what's tiresome to most.
