Why not just create a whole system that allows you to adjust the image of all your gear slots to something else you own like transmogrification in WoW. That way you can still look epic in all exotic gear even if you can only equip 1 exotic at a time or what ever. Some of the coolest items in this game are low lvl stuff that is worthless at end game.
